Absolutely beautiful place to be right under the Golden Gate Bridge. Great place to take a lot of great photos as well. Make sure you wear a jacket when you head upstairs (best not to wear a dress).
One of the best spots to get great shots of the Golden Gate Bridge, and also the fort is very beautiful itself...
Stroll down & enjoy the view under the bridge.
It offers a different point of view of the bridge.
Lots of great photo ops at the top level.
The absolute best spot for views of the Golden Gate!
Cool underside view of the bridge
The long trek here to be up close to the Golden Gate Bridge is worth it. You'll be sweating afterwards though!
Great view of the bridge from below! Don't stay here for sunset but be sure to stop by. There's a good parking lot not too far from here.
It gets freezing here, bring your jacket. Civil War Days is a great time to check this historic place out.
Beautiful landscape but definitely need to bring a jacket, it's really windy.
Place to go with a bike or by walk !
Beautiful sunsets happen here.
Believe it or not, people always seem to be surfing here!
From here you get one of the best views of the GG bridge. You get right below it. Be here some time before sunset and get to the top of the fort.
very recommened view point to enjoy great view of golden gate. also you can go to golden gate bridge by walk. it takes 5 to 10 min.
The best view of the Golden Gate is from the top of Fort Point.
Bundle up! It gets cold and windy inside the arena-like fort. Also, make sure to peer through all the tiny windows for spectacular and rare views of the GGB.
A great place to smoke crack
Best place to take a photo with the Golden Gate!
Beautiful in January. #sanfrancisco
The night time tour is great! Bring warm clothes.
Amazing view, fog or shine!
MacBeth at the Fort is wonderful
Breathe-taking night view of the GGB!
Next to the bathrooms in the parking lot
Will always remind me of Hitchcock's Vertigo.
Great shot of bottom of GG Bridge and Alcatraz island, downtown San Fran and Sausalito
Watch out, it closes at 5pm, but at least it's free :-)
Best view of the Bridge and FREE!
At the end of Crissy Field, right under the GGB is fort point, a civil war era brick fort, don’t miss it, but bring a jacket, it gets windy.
Golden Gate view
Nice place, take care must be dress warm.
Hanging around in the San Francisco Bay Area this Memorial Day weekend? Plan ahead and take public transit to one of these local events. http://ow.ly/b9KFW
Please, don't try to recreate the scene. I will not jump in thr Bay after you.
The place, where Madeleine (Kim Novak) takes a reckless plunge into the waters of the Bay in Alfred Hitchcock's thriller "Vertigo".
The location of Bicentennial Man starring Robin WIlliams where he meets his female robot counterpart. Madeleine meets her fate here in Vertigo
Madeleine jumps to her suicidal death here in the movie Vertigo
Notice the greenish rock near the entrance. This is serpentinite—California’s state rock—which likely came from deep within the earth’s interior. This rock holds up the south tower of the GG Bridge.
One of my absolute favorite places to take photos. Great spot for a portrait shoot.
If you can get a BBQ on a sunny day with little wind, you've found a little slice of heaven. Sit back and enjoy the view of the bridge!
This Civil War fort offers a unique view from directly underneath the bridge. The intricate girders contrast with the historic brickwork. Shoot in the late afternoon from the top level.
Make it in to see the fort, it's epic and almost unknown how much history they have stored up in there. Plus a cool view of the city toward North Beach & the bridge. Tap you hands at the runners mark.
Tourist: take the MUNI here if you are feeling adventurous.
Beautiful backdrop for a walk or a picnic.
