Start your day on a high note--like, falsetto high--with a breakfast of fried chicken and waffles.
THE place to have your parents/people who want to pay for your food take you ;)
It's not on the menu: Order "The Bone," and ask which bourbon they're using this week.
If I could eat Founding Farmers' bacon-wrapped dates with every meal...I would.
Skip the mimosa and just order the fantastic orange juice.
Fellow vegetarians: they have the best veggie burger in the city.

grilled cheese and tomato soup is delicious. farmers salad is to die for
Get the skirt steak and enchildas. What the menu fails to mention is that they come with corn on the cob with butter, chilli powder, and parmesean cheese on top.
O. M. G. Best meal I've had on DC!!! Rock the West Side if you like vodka and lemon! Score yourself: deviled eggs, bacon Lillie's, mussels, plank salmon or any other fresh fish!
Chicken and waffles is amazing! Also the cornbread!
Supporting sustainable farmers, that's food I can get behind!
Go to Founding Farmers, express to your waiter how you are puzzled by the Organic Cucumber Delight cocktail, get one on the house, take a sip, and actually enjoy it.
The cucumber cantaloupe cocktail is a must! Refreshing & not too sweet
reserve in advance or wait for a seat at the bar. mimosas. chicken and waffles (w mac and cheese and cucumbers as sides)
Great options for vegans and vegetarians! Ask for the "Meatless Menu". Two thumbs up on the Meatless Meatloaf and Organic Cucumber Delight!

The Bone (drink) is killer if you like tabasco and bacon.
Chicken and waffles. Amaze balls.
Takes 20-30 minutes to get a cocktail on a friday. Don't order the chx pot pie -the consistency is just above water. It's like soup. Service its horrendous.
order the fried chicken and waffles.
Lobster mac and cheese and the shrimp and grits will knock you over ( in a good way).
Get the spiced nuts. Spicy, salty and a little sweet from dried fruit.
Corn bread. Deviled eggs. Must try!
The fried chicken and waffles is so decadent you'll have to go confess afterwards. You might also wanna tell the priest how you can't stop fantasizing about the crab benedict and the cornbread.
Here you can enjoy Idaho Syrah or Organic Colorado Gin. Tell Jon at the bar, Vino50 sent you.
Beets in the Red Flannel Hash were cooked to perfection. Get the Ciabatta toast, dip it in your egg yolk, and your palate will be changed forever. Make a reservation, but definitely worth the wait.
Everything is great. But make sure u have a reservation & if u change the # of guests in your party they will trip & change your reservation time.

Pretty sure the people who left positive comments were paid. Service sucks, food is okay. I'm here with 12 people and no one is happy. Spend your money elsewhere.
I love this place, excellent menu all-around, 6 solid beers on tap plus a nice bottle selection and old school prohibition era cocktails. BUT you definitely need reservations for Sunday brunch
Every food item is wonderful!
For brunch, I recommend the chicken and waffles and the chicken sausage tart if available. Don't sleep on the milkshakes!
Try the corn bread it is absolutely one of the best things I ever ate
Must try the lemon diver scallops. Perfectly seared and risotto pairing is seriously flavor packed.
The banana waffles are really good.
Try the Red Velvet cake!

Order a Bacon Lollipop!
Devil-ish eggs are SUPERB as an appetizer!
Food and mixed drinks are truly fantastic here...but it is always paired with exceptionally slow service. You determine if great food is worth such a long wait.
