While I don't think the hotel is as nice as promoted, the fountains are magnificent -- a wonderful treat from your room, any restaurant facing the water, as well as the Strip. Best free show in Vegas!

Best place to view from is from in front of the Bellagio, facing the Eiffel Tower. Get there early, though, because people claim spots fast!

Best spot to stand is Strip-side, in the middle alcove (it's wider than all the other alcoves). From this vantage point, the fountain takes up your entire field of vision.

Nice vantage points: Yellowtail, Olives, Jasmine, or... across the street at Eiffel Tower Restaurant, or... next door in one of the wrap-around balcony rooms as Cosmopolitan.

At the NE corner of the fountains, you can use the 3rd pillar from the Bellagio shops to get a nice, unobstructed shot of the water show, with the Cosmopolitan and O sign in the background.

If you don't stay at the Bellagio, try to stay across from it and get a room overlooking the fountains. You can get a great view of the show without the crowds.
