Ask for their house-made almond macadamia milk. You can get it in anything; I opted for a macchiato. Perfection. Love the slow bar and roasting operations on site, too!

My very favorite coffee shop in the states after much testing. The almond milk cappuccino is perfect. The atmosphere is good for chatting, working, or thinking. The music is good, the baristas friendly.

Arguably the most popular coffee shop in SF. Lines can get long, but if you just want a single origin pour over, you can order it at the stand near the entrance.

Really want to love this place: local art, great music and some of the world's best people. But my Americanos are always weak, no crema, or served cool because the pre-set cup of hot water sat there.

Love the combination of wood and coffee. Coffee is so good.. And I like the ceramics it goes with. It feels like freshly made pottery. NICE!

Four Barrel is an unpretentious place that serves up delicious coffee and espresso drinks (as well as handful of pastries), in addition to giving you a great view of their roasting operations in back.

Always go to the pour over bar. Four Barrel has the best pour overs. Also, sit in the back and watch the magic happen as they roast their coffee.

The quality of the coffee can only be matched by the baristas' pretentiousness.
