Sadly, I didn't enjoy this legendary BBQ like I thought I would. Even after waiting 5 hours in the rain for it. It's merely ok. Brokenhearted? Yes. Try Rudy's instead.

#FoodPorn lover here : we spent 4 hours waiting outside by 100°F (39°C) and God know I hate waiting. But if I'm honest I have to say : TOTALLY WORTH IT. Get the moist Brisket!

The brisket deserves the queue. It’s a feat of meat uncanny in its poise between salt and smoke and in its utter, irrefutable pleasure. Read more

The classic BBQ spot in Austin. The one with the notorious hours-long line. Get there an hour before opening, no joke.

Everything is fantastic, but the brisket is the star. Don't let the crowd scare you, the eclectic crowd just adds to the atmosphere

The epitome of smoked meats !!! It was well worth the wait. Aaron and his team are the most welcome people I've met in a long time. I will definitely be coming back.
  • Antwan N.
Don't waste your time with getting the sides. It's a carnivore's paradise...

Brisket is exquisite. Get both fatty & lean. Worth the wait in line but get there early cuz they run out of ribs & turkey by 1 & pulled pork by 2. Pulled pork & sausage were very good. Perfect bark.

This hot spot doesn't open until 11 a.m, but you'll have to line up outside at around 9 to get your hands on a legendary Tipsy Texan--a heaping pile of brisket, coleslaw, pickles and sausage on a bun. Read more

SERIOUSLY the BEST BRISKET I've EVER EATEN!!! Talk about a food high afterwards. We went on a Wednesday at 12:20 and sat down with our food at 1:50pm. The sausage is delicious. Pass on the pulled pork

World famous. Extra moist brisket a must. Long-ass wait. You can call in a large order 1 month in advance but don't be late for pickup time. 🍖
  • Seth D.
Don't get me wrong, fatty brisket and ribs were great but, standing in line for 6 hours and price makes it not worthwhile.

The hours-long line that forms every morning alongside Aaron Franklin’s turquoise-trimmed pilgrimage site may be more famous than the food itself, but let’s be clear: your wait is rewarded. Read more

Based on all the hype, this is some of the best BBQ in the country. Believe the hype. Three-hour lines for the 15-hour-smoked brisket are routine. They open at 11. Get in line by 8.

Pull out those lawn chairs and crack open some beer because you are going to be there for a minute - and when I say a minute I mean 4-5 hours if you get there at 8am. They open at 11am. Brisket!!!!!!!
  • Russell H.
Waited on Tues at 9:30am and had food by 12:30. Chairs under stairs to borrow while waiting. Transparent about wait times and beer is sold in line. Sausage flavorless. Ribs and brisket amazing.

Best...brisket...ever...seriously. Born and raised in Texas, and this was the best brisket of my life. I would wait 10hrs for it, but I only had to wait 3. Ribs were crazy good!

You need to be here EARLY - there will be a queue from 7am, even during the middle of winter. Make sure you ask for the fattiest bit of brisket to literally die and go to meat heaven.
