Great place to grab a seat, read a book or munch on your lunch. There's plenty of park benches and lawn space to sit but NEVER feed the pigeons or they'll chase you for the rest of your lunch

Frequent food truck stop for weekday lunches; at McPherson Metro Station; major bus transfer point. Park is often covered with litter; would be pleasant if not for trash.

Also a much better option for getting up to Columbia Heights vs. Green line any day: quicker, faster, cheaper.

Watch out for the squirrels. They have devil eyes and will steal your lunch if given the opportunity. They have no fear.

Enjoy DC's ugliest park, which seems to have never recovered from Occupy DC.
