The Hawthorne Fred Meyer has an expanded health food selection compared to the others, as a vegan I am very thankful to be walking distance from here.

It's a grocery store. With shoes, appliances, and I dunno... Lots of random stuff.

    Brook Shelley · December 17, 2015

Great beer selection. Parking is a challenge especially at weekends. It is really designed to be walked to.

  • Stuart C.

Need anything? Fred Meyer is the best place in SE to get that tool, dish, plant, bedding, game, etc. you're looking for. Don't eat at their deli, not because it's bad, but you can do better than that.

    Stuart Coates · November 17, 2014
  • Marc C.

It's a grocery store. Why are you looking at tips about a grocery store? Go buy your food.

Everything in the Hot Bar is 50% off from 8-9pm, so you can get a bag of chicken strips for .80¢. Or 2 lbs of gravy for .50¢.

Larabars are a DOLLAR. ONE. DOLL. HAIR. Most awesome selection of flavors, too.

Definitely not one-stop shopping as Fred Meyer advertises, since they are missing clothing, electronics and furniture. 2 floors is a bit annoying. However, the produce is better than any FM in town.

    Lisa · January 24, 2013

    Worst pharmacy of all time.

hollywood Fred Meyer has been renovating for a few months, progressively shifting an aisle or two 50 feet over, making room for floor refinishing = shopping is discombobulating, but great otherwise

    Brian Votaw · June 5, 2012
  • Ken J.

What can I say? A little of everything. Just don't expect any help from the staff. They can mix some paint in the larger stores. Garden area is really good if you watch for prices.

    Ken Johnson · May 10, 2012

If you gave the key card app on your android phone, it works at this location. Some Fred Meyer stores can't read it.

Check out the little glossy one-page flyer they print every week. About 6 coupons that are store-specific. There's usually one per week that saves a lot of moolah for me.

    J Petersen · September 11, 2010
  • Jonathan D.

Check out the beer selection. It is probably the best at any grocery store in town.

    Jonathan Dyer · July 31, 2010

The florists are nice, but picking out your own arrangement can be spendy. And ugly.

    Janessa Philemon-Kerp · February 16, 2010

Try the Peets coffee lounge upstairs. They don't mind if you read the magazines.
