Destination-worthy Northern Chinese in a nicer than average setting. Don't miss the Muslim Lamb Chop, which is braised until fall-apart tender, rolled in cumin seeds, and deep fried.

Muslim lamb chop ($21.95), braised until fall-off-the-bone tender, fried until crisp, and jacketed with an intensely flavored coating of cumin? Yes Virginia, we're still in China.

I have nothing positive to say about varying Moo Shoo dishes but the Shredded Pork with Black Bean Sauce is amazing. The tofu skin definitely kicks it up a notch! Nommm nomm...

Fu Run specializes in the cooking of China’s Northeast, the region formerly known as Manchuria. Consider ordering the massive rack of fatty ribs known as “Muslim lamb chop,” braised, battered, fried.
