Located midst the trees of Rome’s best public park is the Borghese Gallery, a treasure trove of artistic gems, a remarkable collection which was first begun by Renaissance Cardinal Scipione Borghese. Place Managed by the Rome's Tourism Dept. in collaboration with //Avanti Concept Agency
An absolute must see when in Rome. Be stunned by Bernini's amazing sculptures. Make sure you make a reservation a couple weeks before you visit.
Impressive collection of art, but buying tickets 2 weeks in advance and not being allowed to carry any belongings inside is just ridiculous. Plus they most likely broke my camera which was in my bag
The scultures are amazing.
Impressive! Try to spend some time there but book tickets in advance
Book ahead. Skip the crowd. Tour the gallery the other way round.
One of the most wondrous places on earth. Don't miss the picture gallery on the second floor.
You don't need the reservation to get there. Just come to the ticket desk few minutes after the time slot begun (9/11/13h etc).
Check out tour times beforehand, as they start promptly.
You should definitely go!! Really beautiful!
A must see. Bernini really is amazing.
Two of the most featured sculptures (both by Bernini) depict rapes.
Amazing art collection! Buy the tickets in advance as it is always crowded and lots of time fully booked! Loved the park as well :)
Masterpieces by many artists can be seen here. My favourites are the marble sculptures by Bernini. Book and be punctual or you'll have to wait for the next turn to enter (that's up to two hours!)
Best museum in Rome
I definitely recommend the multimedia audio tour they offer in multiple languages for €5 if you don't go there with a tour guide. Don't forget to look up! :) each room is a work of art on its own
Let's be honest. The art. Bernini...Caravaggio...it was like a dream to see these works of art in person! It's June so it was hot and stuffy but it wasn't too crowded. Overall great experience.
Amazing gallery but the booking is mandatory. Don't forget to see also it's garden on the back where you can see again from outside the Bernini statue Ratto di Proserpina.
Just amazing. Don't even think about coming without buying tix in advance.
The audio guide is worth every penny (5€). It offers good stories and background information. Makes the visit so much better. I fell in love with Bernini.
Bernini masterpieces are definitely among the things one must see be4 he/she dies.
Since you are aloud to stay for only 2 hours, visit the attractions and then, watch the rest. Attractions: Caravaggio room, Bernini's sculptures, Venetian paintings and Paulina Bonaparte (Canova).
It's a must see attraction, tbest gallery in Rome. Make your reservation a couple of months before your trip in order to get tickets for the day you want, since the number of visitors aloud is limited
If you want to visit a minimum number of museums during your trip, this must be on the list. Be sure to reserve tickets beforehand cz they get sold out.
Amazing collection of art. So may Bernini sculptures, and all interesting and beautiful. Had an issue with tickets, but they made good on the error. The ceiling artwork is truly beautiful.
Well-worth the fuss. A treasure trove of Bernini sculptures, Caravaggios, & incredible rooms. Book online 2-3 weeks ahead for tix. Tours are 2 hrs. Always sold out. Enjoy!!
Strongly recommended to visit. Nice galleria. Better to reserve first
a must go in Rome!
Best thing here is the sculptures, particularly the Rape of Prospina, which used to be at the Palazzo Ludovosi.
You must book tickets in advance and you have only two hours to see this beautiful gallery. But it is definitely worth seeing. :-)
Please book the tickets online the day before at least, however it will not save you from staying in the long line to get your ticket (awful entrance organization)
Reserve tickets in advance - a must! Save time after to walk through the park to the overlook to see all of Rome.
Worth a visit, if you have some interest in Roman history. There are busts of the emporers, including Hadrian. Note: Bags & cameras have to be checked in before entering the museum.
Do not eat the sandwiches!
Free of charge with Roma pass. The audio guide was very helpful.
The audio guide is so worth the €5! No explanation of the works, otherwise. Amazing museum, not to be missed. Make sure to reserve your tickets online ahead of time.
Cameras not allowed and you must check all bags, including purses.
Rent the audio guide
One of the city's most exquisite art collections. If you only have time to visit one museum in Rome, make sure it's this one!

Cameras forbidden, it's a pity !
In our opinion, the most beautiful gallery in Rome. The Bernini statuary is an absolute must-see. Considered one of the best collections of classical art in the world -at one time coveted by Napoleon.
The best museum that I visited in Rome. Don't forget to make a reservation for your visit at least a few days in advance.
