People tend to check in during these times:
La gare centrale (anglais: Central Station) est la principale gare ferroviaire inter-ville et un pôle majeur de train de banlieue à Montréal, Québec, Canada. 18 millions de passagers ferroviaires utilisent la gare chaque année.
Cool part of the montreal underground!
I found a dollar store in the far corner of the station. After wandering through the depths of Montreal.
Underground city is very cool
Very little seating - definitely more comfortable and more space in the Via 1 lounge, if you have Via 1 tickets.
Underground tunnels are your best friend in winter
Of you're traveling with Via RAIL you must check your bags until 30 min before train departure.
The food court...all there is to awe about in this place
The art deco style. The brass columns.
There's a McDo and a Timmy's, a Second Cup and a Premiere Moisson and even a Staples. Also, v well connected with many shops near by and located in the downtown of the city which is super convenient
TakeOff to the 6
Beautiful frieze with bilingual lyrics of "O, Canada."
Love this central station.
If you're connecting VIA Rail trains here, you'll have to go up to the main level and get in line for next train. So, chances are you'll have time to grab some food since VIA Rail's selection is crap.
If you are looking for montreal souvenir fridge magnets, the depanneur at the top end of the hall (straight the other end of staples) may sell the cheapest (1. 99 CAD/each) in all montreal. :)
I got a super cheap web deal for my trip to Toronto. If you have a smartphone, you can flash your electronic boarding pass instead of a paper ticket. :)
Where is located the French fries vending machineeeee????
11 minutes from Gare Central to Montpellier
The wi fi is bad
Expect 45 min from Gare Centrale to Deux-Montagne
Lots of neat little places to get stuff to eat...
Tim horton @ the entrance on la gauchetiere street open 24/7
Besides the depanneur, we couldn't find a place to drink (alcohol) in the station on a Sunday. If you wanna booze before you ride, be sure to stop somewhere en route to the station.
Panarama Lounge is a nice way to start your journey. Avoid the hustle and bustle, unwashed masses and relax (biz class and 1st class only)
Bomb tingz panini located in the marché.
French fries vending machine for the win !
Through the halls you can connect from here to Place Ville Marie, Place Bonaventure and the metro stations Bonaventure and Mc Gill
If your train leaves at 5:25, be here at 5:00.The early bird, gets to the worm easier: No crowds to barge through.
3 seat vs 4 seat wagon ratio, 1:10
Via Rail's wifi service works well and quite useful while a 4 hours wait for a train. On sunday's lots of restaurants aren't open.
wi fi on train greatly improved
The single seats are the bomb!
Wow they finally got new seat! Balling!
First time here? Feeling lost? Look for the guys in red shirt. They're friendly n super helpful.
Great wi fi in The train!!
Marc is a great porter at Central station in Montreal
But the wifi is free.
Wi-fi on the train was good for the first time! No interruption in more than 2 hours!
Wi fi on the train sucks
many hotspots don't work or require login
If you get there pass 9 subway and mcdo can still feed you :)
Via's Wi-Fi is pretty good, and Mac friendly
Maureen Thomas at the VIA Rail baggage claim is the person to go to for any all help!!! She might be an angel!?
I thought the VIA Panorama Lounge was supposed to be nice. Instead I am rammed in here with the blue hair group. Where is the open bar?
Las patatas frittas!!!!!!! A french fries vending machine!! O_o
Sit down & relaxe !
Stop at the Dépanneur for some surprisingly tasty sushi rolls to eat on the train. Sure beats a lukewarm VIA Rail egg salad sandwich.
If you are taking a via train for a good few hours, get food before boarding the train.
