#DavidBowieIs s'expose en gare
Don't forget to visit the melting house sculpture when you're here. It's in front of gare du Nord. (left hand when you walk out of the station)
The new Eurostar carriage stock seem more spacious but the seat headrests are badly done. Don't expect to be able to sleep in them...
Get food before going through Eurostar security - really crappy selection of food now that Paul has been replaced.
You should take a train here, at least once on your entire life
Don't get here too early. There is absolutely no where to sit while waiting for the train.
Allow plenty of time to get here. Traffic via Boulevard de Sebastopol can be shocking.
Eurostar is very nice way to travel from London. Train station is easy to navigate. Check out the bon bon stand. Get there at least an hour before your train. Customs took longer than expected
If you can't get wifi in the station (down most of the time), go across the street to Mc Donalds, where it's free, and which is also a safer place to wait at if you arrive late at night.
Wifi never works so plan ahead (if you want to get an Uber for example) Good connection with the Métro but escalators are broken most of the time.
Uk broader officer act like a god
London 2 hours from here:)
this train station is really a good one for getting places lolololol
Could use a bit of a scrubbing, but it's well located in the City; easy to walk to good restaurants and transfers to taxis and the Metro are a breeze.
Don't take the taxi stand on the right. Take the exit on the front and cross the street. Beware of your valuables when moving around the station and just outside.
Buy your baguettes for the trip at Paul's, located on the right of the International train platform.
All the snack bars offer the same items but the one on the right corner, if the tracks are behind you, seems nicest. No need to arrive early.
Huge station. You'll get lost, don't worry. Free wifi during 20 minutes.
Awful place. No restaurants. Dirty.
Be prepared to be asked for money every 2 meters
Allow 45' at least if you're going to London by eurostar.
I find it hilarious when a train is late in France and it's marked "retard."
Nice place with lots of shops selling packed food for travelers. Good selection of shops selling various merchandise enough for the casual shoppers to wile away a few hours
Very nice building. Too little benches to sit on. Do give money to the homeless/beggars.
Europe's biggest station.
Paris main station where most of intercity traines linked to national and international trains.
With plenty of choices for free wifi
Took Thalys train. Says free wifi if you're in second class but still couldn't get it. It's cold bc it's an outdoor station so beware if it's winter
Don't check in too early for the Eurostar – there's not much in the way of seating or cafes.
Incredible place, beautiful and cosy!
Lots of food places in and around the station
Don't waste time and money in traffic jam to the airport. You can easily reach CDG by train from here for just 9,75€.
They have a piano in the hall for everybody to play on.. Spend time listening to some amazing piano players/travellers
Major metro interchange station. Change here for eurostar.
Much better, faster than flying.
The train ride was comfortable. There is a bar area for drinks, coffee (no cappuccino though, only latte, Americano and Espresso) and snacks in Coach 14.
An awful international railway station that does not deserve the Eurostar.
70 cents for using toilets.
Relay, L'occitane and a couple of cafes available after Eurostar check in upstairs.
Thalys trains' platforms would be announced 20 min before move
Wifi free and to register in order to use the wifi. I like the display of arrival and departures during changing info. Very classic it flipped one by one :)
The main train station out of Paris, but food beforehand options are limited here.
Wine is bloody expensive!
A lot of Indian places to eat just outside the station.
Thalys Train ride was quite the experience, departed from Amsterdam to Paris (2.5 Hours)
TGV services to northern France, Eurostar to London and Thalys to Belgium, The Netherlands and Western Germany
Good Service ... Free WiFi
