Gas Works Park has a play area with a large play barn, and big hill popular for flying kites. Special park features include a sundial, and a beautiful view of Seattle.
Great views of the city. Gasworks is a hubbub of activity, with slackliners, yoga learners, dog walkers, picnic people, Frisbee players late into the night. It's a happy place.Watch for the goose poop
Walk all the way to the railing by the water and turn around. Catch the structure on the right and green hill on the left. Then go down to the lower level for a fantastic Panoramic Stitch opportunity.
Located on the north shore of Lake Union, the park has excellent water views and a spectacular, unobstructed view of the city skyline. It is a popular spot for concerts.
Grab some food and enjoy the amazing view! If you can go on weekdays, way less people. Picnic areas and the grills are another great option to spend the day.
It has a great view of Seattle with Lake Union in the foreground. There is also an old gas mill. It is a great place for pictures. There is also a playground.
Amazing views on clear days of lake union and the skyline. Even on a cloudy or foggy day, the towers are very cool to see.
If you plan on using the bathrooms, bring your own paper towels. Park itself is weird but in a good way. Coming at night would not be advised. Enjoy!
Really awesome park with great views of Seattle. Fun to explore the nooks and crannies, but a shame you can't (legally) climb on anything!
Awesome spot for a sunset picnic, fireworks on Fourth of July, watching people fire dance, and having an any-weather bonfire under the covered pavilion.
This place is gorgeous but toxic. Don't eat the dirt or go in the water (I've even been advised against wearing open-toed shoes here!)

bring a blanket, a book and some sunscreen. sit atop the hill on a beautiful summer day and watch the kids fly kites with the city and lake union as a backdrop.
Bathroom is near the far east side (meridian Ave). Pack ur own soap. I've definitely been in worse bathrooms in Belltown
Go at night, but not alone or too late, for a breathtaking view of Seattle.
The nation's crown jewel of adaptive reuse. The views from this park solidify Seattle's unofficial rank of most beautiful city in the USA.
Don't go here for the 4th unless you park super far away, take the bus, or walk there. The traffic is a nightmare after the show!
Summer: skip work with a friend, sit on the grass & enjoy the view. When it Snows: bring a sled. At night: bring your sweetie & make out with a view
The best place to enjoy 4th of July fireworks while the orchestra plays. Bring your picnic blanket n goodies 👍🇺🇸🎶🎶 God Bless America! 🎶🎶🇺🇸
What a wonderful little park next to the water. A perfect place to enjoy the view with good company.
Come watch the kites, ice block down the hill, bring a camera and a lunch. Stay a whole.
Come here for that classic postcard view of Seattle that you thought you could only get from a plane.
Always a great place to visit if you come into town. 4th of July is a must.
Perfect place for the 4th of July fireworks! Nice place to enjoy the sunrise/sunset. Not far from U-district.
Look out toward the direction of the water there's actually a pretty cool view in some areas.
We dare you to fly a kite on kite hill at Gas Works Park, enjoy a little people watching and then romp on and around the converted industrial structures.
Very unique walk up to the top. Lovely view.
Read up on some interesting history of a gasification plant that turned into a park!
A wonderful place to lay back in a sunny, summer afternoon and read a book.
One of the best views of the cities. A must if you have someone visiting.
Pretty view of the city skyline, but watch out for dog poo in the grass.
The best view of lake Union. A must for at least once in a lifetme
Great place for the pups to explore while you take in the sites. -Fernanda @ Lexus of Bellevue
One of the best views in Seattle. A photog-hipster must.
Photo says it all. A great vantage point for seeing all the maritime life of Seattle.
Amazing waterfront views of downtown and plenty of space to fly a kite!
Nice place to walk around and see Seattle from far.
A small park with front seat view of Seattle
go to gas works part at 8am on the weekends to watch the sea planes take off right over kite hill :)
The view of downtown Seattle is phenomenal.
Go fly kites from top of the hill. Bonus points if you tangle lines with another kite and win.
Tons of dog poop, but great views of the city.
If you have a little one or a dog, beware of the goose terds.
Remember your tripod if you want great night pictures!
Great view of Lake Union and rolling hills of grass your dog will love!
Kayak across from the South end of the lake to see how the other half lives.
Watch the sunrise/sunset at the top of Gasworks hill. Excellent in Summer!
