Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center offers an exciting and unique venue for your meeting or convention.
The view is beautiful. The staffservice is excellent and friendly. Linger for a moment to look out at the Patomic.
It's a great site for a conference, beautiful rooms, great food, wonderful location.
Only hotel I'd suggest asking for a room near an elevator. This place is HUGE.
Ask for a room with a balcony interior view of the hotel. Very cool and really an amazing hotel.
Check out the water show in the lobby. Starts on the hour.
No housekeeping issues for me, room was clean, air flowed properly, bed was comfy. Do look for the nearest elevator to your room or else be prepared to walk! Well, be prepared to walk anyways. Huge.
Today, I was here to speak at the Energy Innovation Summit hosted by the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) and the U.S. Department of Energy.
Thanks for choosing to travel green! The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, a certified Maryland Green Travel partner, is eco-friendly.
After attending Katsucon, don't forget to submit a link to your convention report to AnimeCons.com!
Cheaper parking in public garages.
You will wack your shins in the beds about 18 times so walk wide!
Watch out for the bed legs, due to a silly design you'll find yourself walking into them or stubbing your toes on them
I'm told the beds in the hotel are not as comfy as you'd expect from a high-end hotel.
Probably one of my favorite hotels, all time. Fancy and awesome. If you can, ask for suite 5-217. Best in the entire hotel. 400 sq foot balcony! Nicest room I've ever been in. Like the Savoy in London
Great place to unwind, exciting, great restaurants.
Disney meets Belaggio, check out the sports bar and grab a Stella on tap
If you are around for New Years you have to check out their Big Night DC. It is amazing!
My last post -- I will never stay at the Gaylord again. I hope management uses the Nordstrom model of customer service, revamps its shuttle service, and trains staff to show up when guests complain.
Take the elevator to the top and enjoy the scenery at night! Gorgeous!
If you're looking craft beer there is market down the street with a decent selection. Otherwise find a Whole Foods.
If you have to stay here, hit the restaurants outside the resort for real value of dining experience. The prices for food & drink inside are inflated, with low quality and indifferent service at best.
What a great place to hold a Conference! Be sure to follow the #bbcon hashtag to keep up with the event.
Shower is terrible!
This resort is amazing good customer service and good food !!! If you ever visit book the high floor !!
Attending the 2011 mHealth Summit
You must come here and stay and eat or whatever...
It is expensive, but you have everything you need right in the area. It is pricey for restaurants and drinks though. The hotel also does not accept frequent travel points, so keep this in mind.
Great atmosphere. Recommend sitting by the fountain in the atrium and relax for a while. Rooms without atrium views don't have anything great to look at out the window but room is comfortable.
Great Hotel, ecspecially in the warmer months. The rooms are lovely and you can easily walk to restaurants or the waterfront.
This is a REALLY nice hotel! I feel like I wanna live here for the rest of my life
The sports bar downstairs is awesome ! Have the Caesar salad with crab cake!!
Like the other 4 Gaylord locations at which I've stayed, this one too is overpriced by double, lacking in sincere customer service and absolutely nothing special. Its just big. Avoid if you can.
The sports bar is super rad
Parking is tight here, arrive early!
Parking in the garage is MUCH cheaper than valet parking.
Great place for a conference but definitely wear comfy shoes due to lots of walking. Glad mine are :-)
It is over 20$ to park
Wear comfy shoes. The place is huge. Also now have Starbucks kiosks and No real Starbucks. Expensive and few restaurants in the hotel. Go out for great deals. Really in the middle of nowhere.
Nice eateries...scenery...events...club spot and plenty of spots around the area to have a good time with both adults and families.
It's a Marriott property now :-)
Totally overrated. .. small rooms and the beds are very uncomfortable. .. you can use your Marriott Rewards Points.. But, trust me. . This ain't no Marriott. ..
Spacious modern resort hotel. Great location. Spectacular views of harbor.
Look out for actual tea-partiers.
Make sure you don't put room key by cell or you will have to walk to lobby to get a new key...frustrating.
This place books out very often. If you can't get a place see if your work colleagues can share a room and get free wifi and use of facilities till a room frees up for you to check into.
Room reserved was not available at check in and staff was not accommodating. Any other hotel and you'd end up with an upgrade not here- change will be at my inconvenience TOMORROW.
