The shrimp scampi is a must! The hot and spicy is seriously spicy (even for a spicy lover like myself) so make sure you are ready for some tongue burning awesomeness and have some water on the side.

  • Sarah O.
Uhm yummmm. Shrimp scampi is where it's at, if you like spicy get the hot sauce on the side. I love spicy but their hot sauce is spicy spicy to the max!

Shrimp is good. Try to go with another person, one of you can make the line for the shrimp while the other gets corn (which they sell in a stand close by and it's amazing) and get seats.

Shrimp scampi is great, but on the salty side. The lemon butter shrimp tastes & smells like wet rag, but some people may like the lemon flavor. All shrimp is fresh, good quality, and nicely sized.

One of the best shrimp trucks in the area. Garlic rice is SUPER garlicky. Order to go and sit in your car and eat. The flies can get a little intense. Grab napkins, things get messy.

After you try the delicious food (not one bad item on the menu), you may want to tag the shrimp truck or the pick-up truck in the parking lot. No marker? Kahuku Superette right next door sells them.

Don't miss this place if you're driving through North Shore. Stir fried in butter, lemon and garlic sauce - you'll be licking your fingers for days!

The scampi style is most popular. The hot and spicy is super hot and spicy so beware. They do offer half plates which are perfect size.

It wasn't very good. Small chewy shrimp. The flavor just wasn't there. Got the scampi + they were oily. Don't believe the hype. Try Blue Water Shrimp Truck on the other side of the North Shore instead

The scampi is the best. If u can stomach the spicy, do it...just expect not to be able to taste anything for a day or two. ;) the best shrimp on the island fo sho

Didn't care for the chilli spicy shrimp. Garlic shrimp was good. Has romy's the day before. Hard to say whose was better but I liked the excessive burnt garlic at romy's.
    David Diaz · August 13, 2013

This place is a tourist trap! The shrimp is not fresh Kahuku shrimp, it's shipped frozen from the mainland. Go to Romeys instead, they are the only place that has fresh Kahuku shrimp.

Took us some time to track it down, but SO worth it. The shrimp are massive, fresh and melt in your mouth. Garlic/lemon shrimp for sure.

I can handle a lot of spice, believe me.... but the spicy shrimp was VERY spicy for me. Be careful. Go with the scampi and enjoy the shrimp!

Very good garlic shrimp. I do wish they had been de-shelled. Felt like I lost some of the garlic sauce when I pulled off the shells.

Garlic shrimp scampi better than the spicy (tastes like Tabasco). BYOB and sit under the plumeria trees!

Meh, if busy try one of the other shrimp vans, I'm sure they are all the same if not faster service. Take wet towels too as messy stuff!

The spicy shrimp rocks and lives up to the hype, but I liked the scampi even more. Get garlic on the rice!

Overrated. Super unhealthy shrimp in a dumpy setting. Head down the road to Romys for better shrimp and beautiful scenery.
