Fairy Pools, in Glen Brittle(Isle of Skye), along the Brittle river is one of the most popular place to go for a walk. As evident from the name, it's fairy-like ambience takes your breath away.

If getting picked up and your lift is late, get them to pick you up in the holiday inn car park - it's free for 15 minutes and warmer to wait at

The fastest airport you'll ever use. It takes me about 7 mins to get from the door to the gate. This is including luggage check in, passport and security checks. Similarly on the way out 5min max

The airport is probably bigger than you realise, leave plenty time to get to your gate. A quick pint in the Sanderling is tradition. WiFi is free for the first hour and easy to set up.

If you arrive at domestics and are getting picked up at the drop off walk all the way along the check-in desks and exit at international arrivals to stay inside from the elements for a little longer

The cheapest way to/from the airport is take a bus 757 McGill's to Paisley Gilmour Street and then train to Glasgow Central. It costs only 3,5£ and takes around 35 minutes.

Nearest station to Glasgow Airport is Paisley Gilmour Street which connects to the airport by bus: McGill's 757 bus or taxi. Then travel to Glasgow Central Station. Buy a roundabout ticket for value

2014 prices: Taxi to city around £22, Bus £8.50 return (within a month) or £6.50 one way. Dodgy taxis are cheaper, possibly, but risk dodgy behaviour.
