If you are crossing in an open air bus it is cool and very windy. If you have a hat, one hand on your hat is recommended. Long sleeves and long pants would last be best in the am or when overcast.

Be sure to either walk or cycle the bridge at least once. Be sure to go to the Marina Headlands afterwards for an even better view of the bridge and San Francisco

If you have the time take the trail from marina and walk along the water to the bridge! And if you have even more time... walk the bridge and get the view from the other side !

Beautiful, iconic and usually foggy. Try not to get the chain linked fences in the background of your photos. Bus service to the bridge is easily accessible

Make sure to drive, bike and walk the iconic International Orange painted bridge to see the beauty from different perspectives. Much easier to park @ the vista point just north of the bridge, off 101.

there are 2 view decks &, i picked the wrong one. pain in the butt parking & too many people. better one is the one after the bridge, uphill on the north side. its elevated & has a better view.

Some of San Francisco's best weather is in October and November. If you want to get some spectacular views, plan your trip for this time of the year. Take a bay cruise with Blue & Gold Fleet at Pier41

You can’t pass up a visit to this landmark, no matter what's on the agenda for this trip. Get the best view from the scenic outlooks on the NE and SE points of the bridge. Make sure to bring a jacket.

The view here is amazing! The golden gate is beautiful to look at. The view plus the cool weather of San Francisco made it a little romantic place to just look around and stare at the sea.

Come see the most beautiful bridge in the United States! The Golden Gate Bridge is located in my favorite US city, San Francisco. I've driven across it, sailed under it and it's breathtaking.

The area around the bridge is a good place for picnics, barbecues, and quiet solo walks. It can be a little chilly (there's a Heating Room) so dress warmly.

If you plan to walk or bike on the bridge, bring a warm jacket (yes even in summer) and secure your hat / don't wear a loose hat - or it will get blown away by the strong wind!

See if the marine layer has crept in before you take a tour boat to the bridge. Clear and sunny skies at the pier doesn't necessarily correlate with conditions at the bridge.

When walking across the bridge be sure to look up and explore different angles of the towers and cables. You'll find lots of intriguing compositions and abstracts. Early evening the light is best.

The red steel monster called Golden Gate Bridge. It was once the largest bridge in the world, but today it’s only number 8 on the list of international bridges. Enjoy a magnificent view.

For the best view / picture opportunity of the bridge, go to baker beach. Much better views there than at the touristy gift shop area. Or go across the bridge to hawk hill, beautiful view there too

Travel to the bridge and walk to find the perfect photo spot. Don't worry about parking. The lots are located on the northeast and southeast sides of the bridge.

Drove through the thick fog twice today and this is the most we saw of the bridge. The view point is better on the north end "IF" its clear of fog

In early 2015, a movable concrete barrier was added to the bridge. This barrier separates the six lanes of traffic. The Golden Gate Zipper can move the concrete barrier depending upon traffic flow.
