If you are crossing in an open air bus it is cool and very windy. If you have a hat, one hand on your hat is recommended. Long sleeves and long pants would last be best in the am or when overcast.

Be sure to either walk or cycle the bridge at least once. Be sure to go to the Marina Headlands afterwards for an even better view of the bridge and San Francisco

Make sure to drive, bike and walk the iconic International Orange painted bridge to see the beauty from different perspectives. Much easier to park @ the vista point just north of the bridge, off 101.

The area around the bridge is a good place for picnics, barbecues, and quiet solo walks. It can be a little chilly (there's a Heating Room) so dress warmly.

Beautiful, iconic and usually foggy. Try not to get the chain linked fences in the background of your photos. Bus service to the bridge is easily accessible

there are 2 view decks &, i picked the wrong one. pain in the butt parking & too many people. better one is the one after the bridge, uphill on the north side. its elevated & has a better view.

Don't view from Vista Point!! Drive ½ mile up Conzelman Road for viewing points to get the GG bridge in the foreground and city of SF in the background! Your photograph album will thank you for it!!

You can’t pass up a visit to this landmark, no matter what's on the agenda for this trip. Get the best view from the scenic outlooks on the NE and SE points of the bridge. Make sure to bring a jacket.

The view here is amazing! The golden gate is beautiful to look at. The view plus the cool weather of San Francisco made it a little romantic place to just look around and stare at the sea.

When walking across the bridge be sure to look up and explore different angles of the towers and cables. You'll find lots of intriguing compositions and abstracts. Early evening the light is best.

See if the marine layer has crept in before you take a tour boat to the bridge. Clear and sunny skies at the pier doesn't necessarily correlate with conditions at the bridge.

For the best view / picture opportunity of the bridge, go to baker beach. Much better views there than at the touristy gift shop area. Or go across the bridge to hawk hill, beautiful view there too
