The perfect place to go veg… particularly during the bountiful summer months! Chef Portale does a wonderful job of highlighting produce from the Union Square Greenmarket.

Ask the sommelier for help with the wine list. We loved the tuna tartare, dido red wine, miso cod, and veal (was a special), pictured below. Save room for the chocolate cake - it's worth it!

French pastry doesn't get better than this, try the Tarte Tatin for two. The best flaky pie crust of your life brushed with a burnished coat of glazed puff pastry, & inside the soft baked apples glow. Read more

One of the best meals I have had in my life. The atmosphere is what makes this place. It's nice, and knows it, but stands behind its food rather than glaming you into thinking you've got a good meal.

Book in advance and ask to be placed on one of the tables on the platform. That's where the regulars go - and for good reason. Lobster is wonderful and the steak is perfect. Do both!

Had dinner and now movie next door. My favorite dish there is the skate. This time, I got the Naiman pork chop. Perfectly cooked, tender, pepper crust, baby daikon, spinach, and a glass of wine.

Outstanding. I had dinner, it was so good I went back two days later for lunch. The corn soup on lunch menu & cod on dinner menu are great. Chocolate cake is to die for.

The service here is amongst the best I've had anywhere in the world. The food is great and the cocktails lovely. It's pricey but it's an experience worth shelling out for if you can.

Greats can come-and-go in a flash, but Gotham lives on first-class food+drinks. A splendid vodka gimlet was paired with mixed nuts, a rarity at the bar in 2011. Decor has gone stuffy, crowd classic.

In this city, their longevity must mean something. Whichever the dish you choose you will be happy with it so all you need to worry is what ingredient you want to eat today

The quintessential NYC restaurant, their 3 course dinner is a must. We recommend the seared foie gras and finish your meal up with their scrumptious chocolate cake for dessert.

Went here for NYC's Restaurant Week. Didn't think there was anything exceptional about Gotham especially considering its price, but its assorted sorbets and signature Gotham cake save it.

A true gem. We had the tuna sashimi and seafood salad, both were delightfully fresh and full of flavour. Bread is made on-site; the multi-grain is so good you've got to work hard from having too much!
