$2 round trip is hard to pass up a mini escape from one of the five boroughs. Great view of the city skyline as well.

Ferry is no longer free most times (save the first two trips out from Manhattan on the weekends). Now costs $2 round trip for adults or $20 for the season pass but now runs during the week.

Fits much more people than the line ever makes it look. They can almost always fit everyone on. Sit up top for more space and better people watching.
