A revival and renewal of the classic American tavern, Gramercy Tavern offers refined, seasonal cuisine from Chef Michael Anthony.
The vegetarian tasting menu was OUT of this WORLD!!
Great food, service not so good!
Rich and spicey Butternut Squash soup #tistheseason
Wow. Super cozy and romantic. Get the duck meatloaf. It's unique, light and tasty.
A favorite of New Yorkers in the know, Gramercy Tavern is not to be missed.
best time to come is lunch. Fave starters are: Waygu beef tartar- cauliflower cappeletti, beet salad; for the entrees, lamb loin is so tender and flavorful; seabass is subtle with a Japanese flair
No reservations needed for the Tavern.
Try the off menu burger special. Get here early cuz it sells out fast.
Amazing service. Can accommodate vegan diet
Pasture Raised Chicken & Sausage, Herbed Spaetzle, Mushrooms and Riesling made for a pretty magical lunch.
Fluke and sea bass were exceptional. Pulled pork was a little underdone.
Great place to eat alone
Awarded one star (★) in the 2015 Michelin Guide for NYC restaurants.
I have been to GT since 2000. The service and attention to detail is impeccable under the Danny Meyer tutelage. I have never been disappointed by the food nor the price points. Definite must.
The smoked trout should not be skipped and in the fall the concord crush is addictive albeit in a guilty pleasure way
Meal was great from start-to-finish with the strawberry donut the best thing. Go with the prix fixe option to explore the menu. Great for a date or chill at the bar after work.
Best restaurant in town. Lasagna at the bar is best dish in town.
Burgers only avail on the bar side. :/
Roasted oysters $3 each, fluke tartare $15 and Arctic char $15. Good non alcoholic cocktails too.
Phenomenal food and service. Worth the price
Probably the best pasta dish I've ever eaten in my life and that's not an exaggeration by any measure. Like wtf holy shit. Pasta. Seriously. You're going to smile all night during and after dinner.
Great place to sit at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere and amazing food.
Duck leg dinner is AMAZING
Doesn't accept reservations, so be prepared to wait an hour and a half for a table around 7pm on a Saturday night. Can hang out at the bar.
Get the burger, only available for lunch at the bar.
Drinks, appetizer, entrees, deserts, services, interior and music. Everything is so perfect. Love the coffee selection of Blue Bottle for espresso and Irving Farm for French press.
The clam spaghetti was one of my favorite dishes.
Great cold zucchini soup, also leave room for the selection of cookies.
Delicious Halibut fish! Healthy and tasteful...
It's hard to make a bad decision at this NYC stalwart. Grab a cocktail or wine and anything with seasonal veggies.
Cheese-dripped Kielbasa (käse krainer)
Attentive service and elaborate food in an upscale environment. A wonderful gourmet experience.
Fantastic food and great ambiance for a fair price - in particular if you eat in the bistro. Since you can not reserve the bistro, bring some time for the wait.
The place serves prix-fixed dinner menu, with choice for the 3-course menu or the seasonal 6-course taster.http://freshnyc.com/american/classy-american-eatery-gramercy-tavern

What a delicious meal. The trout appetizer was the highlight for me...everything else delicious, tried monkfish, lamb loin, tagliatelle. Service was impeccable too.
One of the greats, for a reason.
