Supposedly one of the 10 most beautiful cafes in the world but as a gal from Istanbul, I can say there are more beautiful ones in my city. Churros were delicious though and the service is 10/10.

Great venue but it is a tourist trap. Expensive for what you get but worth a coffee to enjoy the historic surroundings

Classic coffee place in Buenos Aires. You can't leave the city without having a breakfast at this historic atmosphere!

You wait in line despite tons of tables being open. Architecture is cool but not must-see. Maybe dinner and tango is cooler, but breakfast was average at best and not worth any wait.

Skip this place for breakfast. We waited in line for 45 minutes outside and when they finally let us in half the tables were empty. Hence the curtained doors. Everything was mediocre and overpriced.

Ordered the cheese sausage which really tasted like plastic... (all of it). We were also sitting by the door with lots of cold air coming in and out. The beer also wasn't cold...

Average food, average wine by glass, the decor is great and has the old Buenos Aires vibe, that is the only reason people come here, I doubt it's for the food. Average service, good atmosphere.

Beautiful place. For me Tortoni breakfast was too big so I had to take away my sandwiches and ate them for lunch. Which was pretty cool. Lemon tart was too sweet I wouldn't order it next time

For those who want a shot of Tango, that's the place! The show is 1 our long and the place is historical, cozy and simple. The show starts around 8pm, but go in the morning or afternoon for tickets!

Honestly unsure why this place was voted one of the top 10 cafes in the world. Stale churros, bad coffee. Meh to everything.

The most famous cafeteria in Buenos Aires. You can't leave without taking a coffee with medialunas here. The decoration is just lovely. It's a must in the city. Prepare yourself to pay a lot.

A 19th century cafe that is based on a cafe in Paris. Back in the day, it used to be a popular hangout for the Argentinian elite. Today, it feels like it lost its charm and became a tourist hangout.

The worst coffee in the city. Service is very poor, food and drinks are far below average. Popular just because of its history. Take a photo and have your drinks in one of the other cafes nearby.

Food & service mediocre at best. Aside from the ambience, it has little to offer. Deserts and coffee in the afternoon is the only time worth going. Nice looking touristy coffee shop, nothing else.

Touristic and expensive place. The tango didn't worth it. Catch the Red Tango up at Faena Hotel. An incredible show!
