Duck! The park is at the north end of National Airport. You don't need to wait long to get a great view of a jet plane coming in low and landing at DCA using the "River Visual" approach on Runway 19.

Wonderful city views and THE place to enjoy July 4 fireworks, but it’s the drama of arriving aircraft at Reagan National just a few hundred feet away that makes Gravelling Point Park unforgettable.

Spectacular views of planes flying into Reagan National Airport. The park is adjacent to the runway, so you are directly underneath the planes landing. Can't miss this exhilarating experience !

It can be busy on weekends. Bring a blanket & sit under a tree. There are only port-a-pottys here & they are nasty! Bring your own toilet paper & hand sanitizer (there are usually none of either).

Make sure you check the weather to see which way the wind is blowing. As cool as seeing planes take off, it's even cooler to watch them fly over your head and land.

Great park directly in front of Ronald Reagan Airport's runway; best place to get takeoff photos. Ample parking in the afternoons.

Love coming here on my bike. Great rest stop located at the end of the runway at Reagan National. Planes are very low and very loud when they pass over you. Never gets old.

Good place to watch planes take off and land at National Airport, but stay off the trail unless you want to get (deservedly) run over by a bike or runner.
