People tend to check in during these times:
Central Park Zoo
Central Park (btwn E 63rd & E 65th St)
"Very Small but for $12 and an hour if your time I think it's worth it if you're in Central Park. Absolutely loved the penguins (very active today) and red panda and snow leopard were my favorites!"
Sheep Meadow - Central Park
W 67th St (btwn West & East Dr)
"This spot in the park - beautiful and cozy in all seasons. In winter, it's close to the skating rink, summer/spring/fall - easy access to volleyball/baseball courts. We like to just lay and read here!"
Central Park West
Central Pk W (btwn W 59th St & E 110 St)
"Just finished doing a great outdoor fitness boot camp in central park. The weather was great. We did an Insanity class that had everyone stopping to watch. I felt like a tourist attraction."
East Green - Central Park
Central Park (5th Ave. btw. 69th St. and 72nd St.)
"Pack a picnic and listen to Summerstage bands here instead of inside the venue. So much more relaxed."
Cedar Hill - Central Park
Central Park (at E 78th St)
"Lots of dog owners congregate here before 9AM. Great unobstructed sun all morning until about 3PM. Quieter than Great Lawn or Sheep Meadow because the slope discourages sports."
40 River Rd (Roosevelt Island)
"It is about a 10-minute walk from the tram and subway. Take Main St. for a slightly faster trip or walk along the East River for the views."
Metropolitan Museum of Art
1000 5th Ave (btwn E 80th & E 84th St)
"Everything in this museum is amazing. And you can get in with any amount donation and not pay the recommended price"
79th Street (at Central Park)
"Make a point to visit the upper floors of the castle (only accessible by narrow winding stairs) and enjoy the best views of the park from the park. Call ahead to check if they’re open."
Central Park – Turtle Pond
Central Park (81st)
"Super great picnic spot!"
