Her the spinach pie. Not the platter. The pie is huge and more than enough for lunch on its own. So good!

By far the best Greek food in the District with generous portions and reasonable prices. My faves are the spanakopita and the pastitsio. Know what you want before you get to the register.

Be sure to know what you want when you step up to the counter. At busy times they don't have patience for you to stare at the menu while the line is behind you. They have lots of great selections.

daily specials are all great, but usually sell out quickly. A+ gyros and lamb. go for the platters: crusty, buttery homemade bread, orzo, and incredible olive-oil soaked green beans & stewed tomatoes

Be prepared to wait in line at lunchtime for this takeout only gem. You can't go wrong, even if they run out of your first or second choice. I ordered delicious Greek meatballs (with orzo and salad).

Do not miss this place, if in the area. Come early (preferably on a rainy day) or be prepared to stand in line. This is hands down, the best comfort food (delicious Greek!) around.
