Weekend Bolt Bussers to NYC: leave your car in long term parking to the right of the Cherrywood entrance. There's a security station right overhead and parking is free for when you get back on Sunday.

Gps got us here- but led us to pedestrian drop off...which is great and all, but where the F do u park your car? Had to use our sense of direction and not rely on technology to find the parking side.

To get to REI from here you have to cross through the station tunnel (walk your bike) and come out on the back of the station. Narragansett leads to the back of the REI building.

If possible, on winter mornings, try and catch a train already in use. The trains that come in from the yard are usually FREEZING!

The parking lot is huge & often crowded. You'll have a long walk if you don't get there early unless you get there as everyone is coming back to depart.

BATHROOM can be found on the left side of the Commuter Rail Tunnel. Go to the station booth and ask to use the restroom. They allow public use. :-)

METRO station with the easiest access to the Beltway in Maryland. I always use this one for getting on and off the system.

Bus shelters are incubators. Find a shady spot along the wall. I love the wall.

The buses here don't run as frequently as I'd like them to. Be prepared to wait.
