Grouse Mountain is one of the North Shore Mountains of the Pacific Ranges in the District Municipality of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Grouse mountain is always prone to high winds and so on, and even if you snowboard for like an hour, they would not give you your ticket back.
Great view under the sunny sky.
this place captured my heart. No1 and "must see" if you are in Van. Grouse Grind up during the day, enjoy the view, get some food, walk around and wait until the Van's lights turn on. gorgeous!!!
It's steep at $60 a person, but worth paying the extra 15 bucks for the ultimate pass so you get the most out of the summit. Go early before 10am to avoid the crowds (and pack a jumper).
The most exhausting hike you could have.
Feel like I got ripped off. Other than seeing the Olympic Torch, it was a complete waste of time and money. The butterfly garden was lame and the lumberjack show was a joke. Do Capilano instead.
Beautiful views, gondola ride and great photo ops. Worth the 3000-foot climb.
Dont miss the grizzlies
There isn't a more touristy thing to do in Vancouver, but the pricey gonadal fee is worth it for the mountain-top hikes, Grizzlies for viewing, epic view at the Eye of the Wind.
The best sky in the nigth
After grinding the mountain, enjoy the setting with a poutine. Plus, you'll maybe have the chance to see a bear if it's your lucky day.
Make sure to reserve everything because this is loaded with tourist.
There's free shuttles from Canadá Place. Go to the Grizzli hábitat and don't miss the lamberjack show!
got to experience it once!
There is not any women`s snowboard boot in rental !!! They only have men`s boot, so if you have small foot, your foot will be like a pencil in a glass!
Whether it's for handsome men in flannel, axe-throwing, wood-carving action or both, the Lumberjack Show is brilliant. Just don't get caught without enough layers when that misty mountain fog sets in!
Today's visibility is very good! Lots of space to snowboard, ski or snowshoe! Weather is perfect too @ about 5degrees Celsius
Amazing scenery from top of this mountain over Vancouver. So much to do up there. Before going back down on the telefrik make sure to view the sunset from the outdoor patio of the restaurant
if you walk up, it takes 2 hours. Then you can pay 10 bucks to ride the gondola back down.
Make sure you check out the lumberjack show, it's really cool! Also, if you're a girl and you wanna join them in a number take a seat up front, close to the stairs ;)
Awesome place to to sightsee, hike, dine and enjoy an afternoon
Try the zip line and don't forget to see the bears ! If you are a fan of snowboard it's the place to be
Grouse grind is always a fun thing to do in summer... So many stairs, but a rewarding scene is awaiting you at the top... Leave the gondola for the tourists ;)
Avoid the long line up at the bistro and cafe. Go to the Rusty Rail BBQ. Outdoor patio with beer and poutine.
Gets pretty foggy on the ski runs some days, check the webcam on their website before you head up!
Most of the staff aren't aware of the snowshoe trails in detail. Head left at the pond past the cat tracks and look for the orange circles saying "SSG". Follow those to the top!
Happy 2013! Started pretty well!
The Grouse Grind is free to hike up but it's called the grind for a reason. It costs $10 to take Gondola down. Round trip Gondola is $44.74 as of December 2012.
I went there on autumn day. It was wet and cold ! Nothing u can do before the ski season !
In the Men's washroom the first sink has n'ice cold water from the tap which is great to cool down with after a grind! The other sinks are cool to warm.
This mountain is okay, but there are not enough runs/lifts.
Some people told me this is the best place for skiing and snowboarding for novice and beginner. (I've never ski Sorry)
Do not sit and hold up all the cars when you see people just getting to the car, keep moving.
Try the Grouse Grind trail, it's tough but it really worths the effort! You'll be proud to be up there! And... your effort will save you 30$! Spend only 10$ to get back down with the Gondola.
Absolutely a must-go if you visit Vancouver!!!
Tips for the hike up the mountain - wear shorts, bring your iPod and don't give up. :D
Amazing day here. Priceless
Great Place for skiing in the winter, ideal for hiking in the summer and autumm.. Awesome view of the city. Try the Roast beef sandwich and an apple juice at the restaurant.
Snow still from 3/4 up but awesome.
Take the sleigh ride from the bottom of the Peak run back to the Chalet.
Challenge yourself by hiking the famous Grouse Grind, or enjoy a scenic gondola ride to the top of the mountain. The awaiting views will take your breath away.
Drink lots of water and enjoy the climb!
Bring warm clothes.
Dance all the way up!
