China Southern Pearl Lounge is a nice treat for the weary traveler. Comfy, good service and plenty of entertainment (tv, magazines, newspapers and free internet). Thank you Cathay Pacific

Muslim food available here at level 1 at international gate, near gate A and next to manning. Price is slightly higher than outside but it is expected. All kind of noodles available.

No trip to Guǎngzhōu is complete without a stroll down century-old Ēnning Rd for it still retains a few cultural relics, despite earnest urban renewal efforts. It is located in Xīguān.

As of March 2016, they have free wifi now. Choose airport free wifi, not that boingo nonsense. You just have to authenticate it through WeChat.

If you are traveling international on A gates, keep track of time. There is an ID check first followed by security followed by immigration. Three different times to queue up. Manage your time wisely

Thirsty or hungry? Rather than going to a restaurant (especially for muslims), you'll want some breads or snacks. You can get it at the basement at 7/11 counter.

Clean, efficient & tidy airport. Transfer all done in 30 minutes! Departure Hall much better services and variety than Shanghai Pudong, but not as good as Hong Kong.

Speaking of toilets. It flushes everytime you move, so you end up having really wet ass. Just put a toilet paper over the motion detector and you are safe.

The golf carts buzzing around everywhere take you and your luggage to your checkin counter - and to the front of the line - quite frustrating if you are waiting in line / don't want to pay for cart!

Be prepared for large crowds at the international departures gates. For some reason they try to force a lot of the morning flight in this lower area that isn't very spacious.

Foods&beverages are extremely expensive compares to other airport. Don't look for MCD, MCD doesn't provide seats, only for 'on-the-go'. Free WiFi is only available for those who owned a China number.

Yea signage sucks. You cant find what you look for and you find what you dont need. No map or layout of the mall. It could be interesting if they do a more upscale mall

Ignore taxi touts and SIM-card sellers. Official taxis are green or yellow and go from the very efficient taxi stand.
