Speaking of toilets. It flushes everytime you move, so you end up having really wet ass. Just put a toilet paper over the motion detector and you are safe.

As of March 2016, they have free wifi now. Choose airport free wifi, not that boingo nonsense. You just have to authenticate it through WeChat.

Muslim food available here at level 1 at international gate, near gate A and next to manning. Price is slightly higher than outside but it is expected. All kind of noodles available.

A modern airport with beautiful architecture but the lack of seats is annoying. Also all fast foods and restaurants are closed at 10pm except a chinese noddle restaurant which is your only choice!

Thirsty or hungry? Rather than going to a restaurant (especially for muslims), you'll want some breads or snacks. You can get it at the basement at 7/11 counter.

Clean, efficient & tidy airport. Transfer all done in 30 minutes! Departure Hall much better services and variety than Shanghai Pudong, but not as good as Hong Kong.

Pros: good diversions during layover. Lots of restaurants and shops. Cons: not liking the busing and tarmac transfers. Was in Guangzhou 3x during our trip and the long bus rides and stairs got old :(

If you are traveling international on A gates, keep track of time. There is an ID check first followed by security followed by immigration. Three different times to queue up. Manage your time wisely

Foods&beverages are extremely expensive compares to other airport. Don't look for MCD, MCD doesn't provide seats, only for 'on-the-go'. Free WiFi is only available for those who owned a China number.
