Excellent yakitori! Grab a few orders per person and munch away. Loved the chicken hearts.
Meat lovers combo = 3 unique and delicious skewers. Their #karaageramen was also good. The broth was not as thick as other places. Still good, just different. Will return soon. So good!
Skewers, Kara age chicken
Delicious yakitori. If you want to try the Japanese quality, go and grab some of their recommendations.
Amazing authentic talk tori with a spin. The ramen is also great. I recommend to come here early because there's only room for about 10 people in the restaurant. Definitely worth the wait!
Pork belly and steak yakitori, pan-fried Mochi wrapped in seaweed, gyoza, spicy ramen, Halu Salad
Shoyu ramen is awesome. The specials menu changes often but the flavors are always amazing.
Must try if you love yakitori or skewers. Interior design is awesome. Makes you feel like you are in another world.
Get the okonomiyaki and the pan-fried soy and brown butter mochi wrapped in nori.
Great hole in the wall izakaya! The mentaiko chicken thigh skewers and beef belly skewers are delicious! And I don't even like bellies! Come early, before 7:30pm for dinner to avoid wait.
Great little spot! Service can be slow, but the ramen and yakitori are worth waiting for. Especially since you can pass the time perusing Beatles books and memorabilia.
Halu's shining grace is not the ramen - but the yakitori. Juicy and delicious - the tontoro is a definite must order. The decor and the attentive waitstaff are another plus.
Such good ramen! Though the outside may look like a drug front inside is super cool and cozy.
Get the Erichan special
Great yakitori, and sake/shoju selection. Get the shiso beef (very rare kababs with a shiso leaf chutney) and Erichan's special (mochi pan-fried in butter and soy and, as delicious as it sounds).
Prepare to wait for at least 30 - 45 for your ramen. Add 10 min for each additional plate. Half kidding. Hearty ramen is worth it and satisfying.
Mochi wrapped in seaweed!
Gyoza, okra, chicken skin, and karaage were amazing.
The beef tongue yakitori is outstanding.
Beef belly, stuffed mushroom
Get the Ramen with a side of chicken Katsu.
Spicy karaage ramen, beef belly steak, avocado cilantro chicken thighs.
Get the okonomiyaki. Best that I've had so far in SF.
It's small and crowded, but totally worth it. Beatles memorabilia galore.
The okonomiyaki is good here! Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside.
Absolutely love this place. The staff are amazing and the food never fails.
worth a trip for this.
Wow, you've got to come here
I know its not the focal point of their restaurant, but i really like their butter corn ramen. Spicy, of course.
Order the gyu toro, chicken skin, and okonomiyaki.
So good! Bacon rapped everything, especially muchi is killa
Best restaurant in the city. Get mochu bacon, steak, fried chicken and copious amounts of unfiltered sake!
Get extra corn on spicy chasu ramen. There's never enough corn!
They have lovely chicken hearts.
It's right next to the public parking lot
Try the Ochazuke!
Ramen is bomb but they charge for tea... definitely a party foul in my book
Try a double shot of shochu with Ramune soda. Cuz it's weird but surprisingly delicious.
Best robata in SF. Ramen is okay--the Beatles-themed restaurant makes up for it and really adds a chill vibe to the whole dining experience. They also have yuzu shu! :)
Fantastic yakitori + Beatles = win!
Wow. I guess tesdays are the hot nights here. Just waited 58 minutes after ordering for food to come. Thank god for iPhones and trivialpursuit/wordswithfriends. Jesus I'm hungry.
Pork ramen is superb -- the pork is really well done. Also, all the Beatles stuff makes for a very cozy and eclectic environment.
