Busy and lively railway station. Love the place! The 1th class Danish railway trains to Denmark traveling over mainland, are even more luxurious than the ICE trains traveling directly to Copenhagen.
Check out all the trains :) There is a food court, - I recommend the Indian or the sushi (pricey). There is a supermarket on the second floor (Edeka). Confusing to find the metro
The best and cheapest place for sandwiches and baguettes is on the burger king side, right above platform 13. You'll spend half the money here than at the places in the wandelhalle.
If you need to recharge your smartphone, go to KFC, they've got two sockets (just ask the staff where they are). If you want to eat something in the dead of night, the McDonalds is open 24 hours.
btw: Moin Moin does NOT mean "Good Morning", you can say it all day. If you want to feel and act like a local (like "senf" suggested), and if you are under 40, you might want to use "Moinsen" instead.
Food at Manju Indian cuisine was excellent and Express wok also nice. Don't forget to checkout Hundreds of choices located at both ends!
If you need a good place to stay for the night check Generator Hostel Hamburg. Amazing value for money and a great time meeting like minded travelers
Cheapest way to travel in Lower Saxony is the Niedersachsen ticket at 26€ for 2 persons. Every additional person up 5 persons is +4€ each.
for thos who like starbucks coffee; there is a store on top of the platform. there are also good places to have a broetchen or a bretzen.
Awesome space with a second level of local-friendly shopping (think full grocery store). The clock makes for a slick Instagram photo.
if you are travelling in summer, drop by at Douglas to spray yourself with perfume thoroughly.... it will save u you a lot of nerves...
if u're about strolling around the city but have next train to get on, just put ur luggage in a storage room with only one (coin) euro
Odd design for a station, yet somehow actionably compact. Not enough decent cafes in the immediate area however.
There is an EDEKA open between 7-23, and lots of other shops and restaurants around
Starbucks is now inside the main station. Avoid the still water! 4€ for a 0,5l bottle...
Tourist information is on the 1st floor near DB Reisezentrum. Small post office is on the 2nd floor at book-store
There is a nice self-service salad bar upstairs inside the supermarket Edeka.
Nice train station but on the weekends is packed, not very nice if you want to get something to eat there.
Always try to book a seat on long train rides- Best money ive ever spent!
Don't use "moin moin" or "moinsen". only tourists use it this way. just use "moin" or simply "hallo". use "tschüß" while leaving.
Take care about the number and LETTER on platform . Sometimes there are 2 trains at the same track.
Free wifi with Telecom access point for 30 min in building, and 2hr in McDonald's
There is a Starbucks but they no Internet nor comfortable seats.
Inside the bahnhof you can find magnets cheaper than on the streets.
Happy hour at Wedemann Back Haus after 9 pm. Baked good preiswert!
Good bakeries and a small supermarket. Liked it.
The Wandelhalle is one monstrous construction!
Le Crobag serves vegan baguettes.
It's better than Mexico, the whole city connected
One of the most beautiful stations in Germany.
The waffles at Arco are a treat!
punto ernesto - bacon and eggs breakfast - 3,50€
Go to Vapiano and have some jummy pasta!!
Halal food Turkish doner greqt
Free wi-fi in MacDonald's.
Fill up on Currywurst on a cold day!
pizza, shops, architecture
Sonntags Lebensmitteln einkaufen. So praktisch
Nice very big station
wok express, noodels for traindinner.....
Meide diesen StarBucks.
Try bums, drunks and punks
Wok Express smells great!!
Run away from here
