Only Cocktails & Appetizers available from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
Great restaurant. Friendly service. Lots of locals eating, which is a good sign. We had the Hebi fish. It was good. And the Stolen Roll. Also good. All the sushi rolls being made looked fantastic.
Food was a little overpriced but still good quality. They only serve select appetizers and sushi menu items as well as cocktails after the lunch check rush and before 5:30. Sit in the garden!
Stay outside in the waiting area if you want wine, apps or sushi. Lindsay is the best waitress, we asked for a sushi rec and she gave us a recommendation not even on the list - "the next best thing"
Go around the back and order sushi rolls from the fish market! Get em sliced or unsliced. I get the soft shell crab roll unsliced and eat it like a burrito at the beach.
The sushi here is incredible. They don't take reservations so come early for a drink (i recommend the skinny chi-chi) while you wait for your table.
Dolphin roll is excellent (spicy tuna + crab + avocado & cucumber). Sit on the outside restaurant (but not in the garden unless you want slower service)
All the sushi is amazing, the poke appetizer is sublime, and for lunch get the steak sandwich its ridiculous (the other person get some fish and share)
Friday Nights: get the sushi special roll. Tempura Lobster Roll! Sit at the Sushi Bar and have Chef Jeff and Gary make you the best sushi I have ever had!
Went back a second time and not as good an experience so I have to say it's a little inconsistent. Food and service not as good the second time around.
You can only order from the full sushi menu at dinner. So if you come during lunch you're out of luck, but the Cali roll is still great
wait - before you eat here, consider going to the fish market behind the restaurant, getting some fresh sushi rolls and eating them picnic style at the beach!
Fish tacos for lunch @ an outside table! Come back for dinner and enjoy the specialty sushi rolls! Staff was attractive and tentative!
Best sushi in Kauai. Stolen Roll will make you see God. And whatever the special is that night, get it. Chef Jeff is a genius.
Sit by the garden in back. I had the rainbow poke and a Marlin sandwich. My wife had fish tacos and onion rings. All very good.
Popular seafood place in Hanalei town. Very nice blackened fish salad with blue cheese dressing. Nice Mai tai too.
Insanely good sashimi; fresh and wonderful. If you can't decide on a roll, try the Stolen Roll--you will not be disappointed.
Don't forget to go behind the resturant and get frish from the market behind this place! I can say expencive but worth it!
Breads were really good. Fish was ok..little dry and the opakapaka had quite a few bones in it. The teriyaki ahi wasn't very teriyaki-ish...
The bartenders are friendly and helpful if you choose to eat at the bar top. Dinner is much better than lunch for sushi!
Fantastic sushi, but high priced. DO NOT let them seat you in the sushi bar... Might has well been a cafeteria. No atmosphere at all
Great place to get fresh fish for grilling. They also have a selection of meat and they hand cut it to your liking.
Best sushi in Kauai! The opah and walu were amazing - have them chargrilled so u can taste the flavor of the fish!
The no ka oi is THE best Mai Tai. The sushi is straight off the boat out of the fish market they own. Amazing!
get the no ka oi (top shelf mai tais- best on the island) and jeff makesthe best freshest sushi creations on the island ;)
This place is awesome! Waiter even answered our question by giving us a quick tour of the fish refrig.Great ahi.
Great spot in Hanalei. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Sushi was delicious! Definitely recommend it.
Fish tacos were so so. Basically just fried fish with greens on a tortilla. Barely any sauce or anything else on it.
Try the Eruption cocktail. It's a Pina Colada on steroids. Also, hamachi kama, spicy tuna/snowcrab sushi roll assortment, ahi sashimi, blackend Ono.
Expensive but chowder was good and so was the fish sandwich and tacos. mai tai was not good wine is over priced.
Wear bug repellent if you sit by the river. I got 3 mosquito bites after only 5 minutes while waiting for our table!
All about Poke's. Inamona & Avocado Ahi, Spicy Ahi & Tako.
You can order the full menu at the sushi bar after 9pm. But dont take a cab here
The tuna is local - try a spicy tuna roll unlike any you've had. Chef Andrew rocks!
Service at lunch is awful and the menu is incorrect, either they dont serve it anymore or they've changed how it comes
Fish tacos- garlic aoli is strong- so good! Calamari, and BIG maitais are $8!
Overpriced, even for this island. And you have to request wasabi and ginger. Mochi cake was good
Long wait, small portions, the salads that used to be so big and included are now small and pricey we won't be back
Food is amazing!! Teriyaki ahi and the dolphin shrimp. Also try the dreamsicle!!
Ahhmazing #FishTacos perfectly battered Ono, great guac, suweet salsa.
Go here, sit at the sushi bar and get whatever the chef tells you to get.
Loved the California and sunset rolls. Brownie was a great closing order.
The fish is the best on the island, but the salad is the best in the world!
Great sushi, especially the Dolphin Tahitian Poke and the Flyin' Hawaiin roll.
Come for the drinks. They are amazing. The food, while fresh is pretty terrible.
This is the best sushi in Kauai. Ask Jeff B. at the sushi bar to hook you up.
Unagi Roll is great. Their uni is just off from good .
Very busy but friendly and fast service. The sushi was really fresh too!
Blackened cajun Opah grilled Asparagus with Monterrey cheese & prosciutto ham
The hanalei roll really stood out and don't miss the Mochi dessert
Fin burger. Ahi. Rare. Cajun. Torta roll. Fantastic.
