Harry's Cafe de Wheels is a moveable food van, similar to those found at funfairs, with a hung awning. It has been moved a number of times in its history but the van is now permanently fixed on a masonry base. The caravan walls have been decorated with custom painted murals by Alan Puckett.
Great Aussie meat pies with a fabulous sea front view. Get a meat pie with mashed potatoes and gravy on top for extra decadence. Just be sure you fend your pie from the preying sea gulls. - Fiona
I'm not a fan of hotdogs 'til a friend bought me one (and foolishly turns out that i had no idea abt where its bought from!), so i rate it as the place to come & eat, not to buy. Price + Quality = ♥
Served by not friendly staff... This place maybe iconic place to visit in the past... but since you can fine lots of Harry's cafe de wheels around Sydney... It's not iconic anymore..
Honestly, I didn't like toooooo much the meat pies. It's good but something doesn't taste good to me. But I put some barbecue and spice than I liked it.
Hot dog de Wheels: Everyone should experience a dawg with mushy peas, chilli con carne, garlic onions + cheese & chilli sauce at least once in their lives. Do it!
The sausage rolls taste funny. I'm not a pie or hotdog fan, but there are still plenty of options and some hilarious pics of Gretle Kileen and her toy boy Saxon looking very drunk.
Definetly go for the "Tiger"! Meat Pie with mashed potatoes and peas, plus a bit of gravy to make it perfect!
Pie for me, pie for you – everyone loves pie. And in Australia, it really would be rude not to eat pie! Harry’s actually do have THE best pies and hotdogs in Sydney. Tuck into some Aussie tucker :)
We sat here for half an hour late one night watching the stand, doubtful that anyone would come here for a bite. This is where most of Sydney gather for a pie on late nights...
The classic meat pie with peas is a solid choice. Split with a friend to make the perfect snack size.
Although it is a famous spot, I got disappointed. Hot dog was awful. Better take a classic one that those with beans and chili.
Everything is delicious and gotta love the place, famous people have been here!
Hot dogs are lame but pies worth the price. Go for the Tiger if you are hungry.
I had the Curry Meat Pie with mashed potatoes, mushy peas and gravy. Had to be done. Serious comfort food.
The mushy peas, mashed potato and gravy was good, but the veggie pie was average. Funky Pies at Bondi Beach does it way better.
Great food in a hurry, don't forget to take some time to feed the pigeons
the meat pies are fabulous. don't confuse with the one's you'd get in the US.
Just had my first Curry Meat Tiger Pie with mashed potatoes, mushy peas and gravy... that's some comfort food!
The tiger pies are a must have! Cheap, quality, heart-warming eats!
Really good pies, I came here recommend by the double decker and it's worth it
