The concept is same as a bookstore has reading space and coffeeshops. However it is just not just a bookstore, you would easily feel the Harvard atmosphere from there and books choices are so great.

The coop cafe serves cheesecakes from Cheesecake Factory! The third floor is quiet and has a lot of study tables- buy yours a dessert and spend a few quiet hours here- it'll be a perfect afternoon :)

Coffee shop on the second floor serves Starbucks, and I've heard they stock cake from the Cheesecake Factory too. Three floors of books as well! And far less busy than the Starbucks across the street.

A respectably big book store staffed with real, live, helpful people who always have excellent recommendations. Beautiful woodwork, great selection, and a wonderful kids section downstairs.

While it feels like a big box bookstore, this is an old institution that is worth visiting. Remember who this bookstore serves and then you'll realize how unique it's offerings can be.
