Great date spot. All food is fresh, upscale. Knowledgable staff and great cocktails. Get the gnocchi and the berry salad.

Great date spot or small ground dinner. Ambiance is good. Order lanis greens and the warm autumn vegetables to start. The chicken is very good, the meatballs are good, and the canestri.

Staple of the east village. Excellent seasonal food and a very good Riesling menu. Prices are a bit high.

The menu changes daily so you should have a look on their website. I used to be in live with the Cote de boeuf for two, Sit a the kitchen bar!

Good atmosphere, however not impressed with the food. I checked foursquare before going and I found it overrated. My wife and I had the meatballs and the ragu.

    Roberto Nery · September 6

The ragu is good - but the gnocchi are the opus magnus. Like a cloud of butter - in the best way. The wine list is extensive and even includes 8 (!) orange wines. Quiet, relaxed, delicious.

    Intense but fluffy...

Veal meatballs and polenta were a hit. Generous portion. Be sure to order a couple pieces from the chocolate bar

The stars at Hearth are the pasta (especially gnocchi) and the vegetables. Order based on that and you'll be very happy.

The tilefish was great. The bed of squid ink gnocchi under it was even better.

Excellent, excellent food. Bass is great, halibut is divine. Steak is good. Apple cider doughnuts are out of this world.

Solid place but pricey. Beef consommé had lots of depth of flavor but beef tartare was bland. Hake was cooked really well, crispy skin and tender. Service really slow cos they're really busy.

Get the lamb, get the mushrooms. We were too late, but apparently there's a chicken dish that they only serve 1 of each night. Ask the waiter if you can get it, it looked awesome.

Don’t tell, but sometimes Sarah sits at the chef’s counter and orders Chicken for Two – for one! Fall Vegetable Salad is delicious, worth making a trip to NYC just to try it! The wines list is magic!
