Good spot for eavesdropping on intelligent conversations - try the flannel hash!
come for the Christmas brunch and/or dinner
The food is okay but the people watching is Cambridge at its most Cambridge.
Very hearty portions. Chowder was good, pot roast was excellent (but get a side of veg). Not cozy but a solid option, especially if you're at the hotel
breakfast skillet is pretty good
Large portions, good for groups.
Absolutely brilliant. Excellent for groups, busy lively brunch, excellent service. It has something for everyone one, including oysters.
The chipped beef was perfect!
2015 Best Brunch: (Boston Readers' Poll)
Awesome brunch with a great raw bar. Parking at the hotel is expensive even with validation, save $$ and park down the street!
The vegetarian chilli and empanadas are amazing! If you are ready for dessert, get the chocolate bread pudding - No question about it.
One of the nice Cambridge restaurants with decent vegetarian options, can be a lot better. Also poor selection of beer on tap for the Harvard Sq area.
Healthy food, insanely great staff.
I heard that the brunch is to die for. I had the duck and it was prefectly cooked...
The hash browns are perfectly mixed. Much butter.
Come for breakfast if you want to be content with mankind.
Breakfast and brunch
The food was good but I had a bad service he never smiles and doesn't let me finish what I was saying!
Beer selection is a winner: Clown Shoes, BBC, CBC, Bantam, Cape Ann, and Jack's Abbey all among today's taps.
They have a beautiful patio for dining all fresco. Great place for brunch, lunch or dinner as well.
In a rush, sit at the Bar- Garrett is knowledgeable and friendly. Order the sausage and corn cakes.
Great food not so great beer and wine selection. Loved the salted cod cake app.
bar is fabulous - 'tenders r great! makke u feel super welcome
Inside the Charles Hotel, "Cracker Barrel chic" decor, strong focus on New England ingredients right down to the vodka. Consistently among the best food and service in Harvard Square.
Lots of locally grown foods!
This place is amazing! Make sure you try the biscuits, the gourmet cheeses, basically everything!
Best Bloody Mary I've ever ordered.
Breakfast service seems to be getting slower ...
Pork loin for the win. The polenta that comes with has a nice tangy salsa that complements the dish well
Sunday brunch buffet is the way to go
Came here for Saturday brunch with the family and they enjoyed it! Good place for a family gathering. Skillet was pretty good and the goat was nice.
Jim's organic coffee: perfect
Brunch menu sirloin tips and caramelized onion mashed potatoes were fantastic. Make sure they don't serve it too lukewarm, though.
Just ate here for the first time. Rustic farmhouse interior. Good assortment of dishes---all the food ingredients are locally sourced organic. I'd come back again.
The weekday breakfast is fine & quite reasonably priced, but make a reservation because the place is packed, especially when Harvard is in term.
If you love bacon check out the BLT. Massive pile of high quality pok product!
Huge range of selection on the Breakfast menu. They're not willing to make up a customized breakfast for you. The 'ham' looks like a huge steak! Very tasty. Fruit platter is amazing! Portions are huge!
Sunday brunch = noon to 3pm, and it's a buffet. Saturday brunch = same hours but three-course a la carte.
If you're looking for a place to impress, go here. Sustainable food with a distinctly local flavor. Get the cheese board and any CBC brew on tap.
Try the Taza Chocolate Layer Cake - Delicious.
Best. pancakes. ever.
Try the rotisserie chicken club #yummy
The Sunday brunch is a way-overpriced mediocre buffet. I don't recommend this to anyone.
Perfect place for an afternoon coffee. Great organic coffee cheaper than sbux!
Get a cheese plate! The cranberry-walnut melba it's served with is fantastic.
Skillet is great if you understand what shirred eggs are.
When you approach the hostess, say "I'll have Henrietta's Table, please." they love that.
The strawberry rhubarb martini is glorious!!!
Bacon was a bit too salty for breakfast.
