Herald Square, named for the New York Herald newspaper, is managed by the 34th Street Partnership and features the elaborate Bennett Clock, exquisite gardens, tables and chairs, a food kiosk operated by Wafels & Dinges, and free public restrooms.
It's crowded. New York city as we love it
So busy during the holidays.
A nice place to pause before catching the subway. Good to sit and rest gor a bit.
Good people watching, good shopping, outdoor food vendors & outdoor seating, BUT always crowded as hell.
Shopping and Coffee Hang-Out
Nice place to go with family and friends many stores around
H&M great bargains
Hard square it's good.
Try (not?) to photo bomb all the selfies. Errrybody wants their mug with the Empire State behind them.
My favorite thing here happens semi annually… And that would be Broadway bites the best thing in the world
Remember me to here.
Great food trucks!
Great during the Christmas season!
Historic Square in the Heart of Manhattan #NYC2015
Outdoor summer seating!! I love to people watch or just sit in the sun and relax while I ppl watch:))))
Needs more green. Now is just a weird human traffic jam
Best place in midtown to sit down and relax.
Another great place to watch people.
Go to Macy's or enjoy Wafels & Dinges at the plaza ❤️
Maelstrom of humanity near Macy's
They have a farmer's market on the weekend.
So close to everything! Subway, shopping (Macy's and so much more), Koreatown, etc. They have a great outdoors food court during the summer worth checking out.
Nice area just way to many people. It's a tourist trap.
It's just way too crowded. It's the WORST if you're actually trying to do any shopping.
The crapes and the vegetarian restaurant were my favorite
Very vibrant place
So many fun shops to check out! It's a bit overwhelming!

Check out the pear trees in Herald and Greeley Square Parks now, they are blooming!
Land of the strange
If you want to enjoy New York City, this is an area to avoid.
Busy. Lots to look at. Much better since they shut down the traffic and made it a pedestrian walkway.
The monument clock moves at the hour. And the owls eyes light up at night.
Great people watching
This park is so dope! Clean, big, great view. So many other stores around there as well!!
Closing Bradway over here really took away this place's charm.
Area with TONS of tourists, but probably because of the awesome area for shopping.
Outdoor bistro tables, by-the-hour bike rental stations, and gourmet coffee stands make people-watching the sport of choice at this multi-block streetfront gathering spot.
Bring your camera...you will love what they've done to the place lol
Great view of Empire States. Although its small size, I like this place.
My second least favorite place to checkin besides Times Square. Oh the horror...
Tourist central, but a great selection of national chain shops.
Home to Macy's, this is where the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade ends every year.
Great shopping area.
Too touristy for me.
Herald Square is a great place to sit, grab a cold water and take in the sights. We stopped in to Macy's-the largest department store in the world! Don't forget to stop in!
