Love this Hilton! I always stay here when in SF. Tower 3s renovated rooms are awesome. Reminiscent of a W standard room. Be sure and avoid walking into the Tenderloin after dark. Can be a bit sketch.
  • National Car Rental
Just steps from storied SF neighborhoods, stay here and you’ll be at the center of it all. If you're looking to get some work done, rooms come with a work desk. FYI - free Wi-Fi is only in the lobby.

Free water, all you can drink... just turn on the tap in your bathroom. This is a hotel, not a resort. If you want good prices and friendly service, go outside and find them. You're in San Francisco!

Home to several conferences and conventions, including JavaOne, this Hotel has many amenities. Fantastic access to local landmarks, great restaurants, huge lobby for impromptu meetings, luxury rooms.

If you're looking for a quiet hotel, this one isn't for you (lots of families w/ kids) but it has a great central location and is a good jumping off point for your adventures in the rest of the city.

Nice view from 35th floor room (tower 1) and comfortable room but the rest of the hotel is horrible.. Cold, crowded lobby, no breakfast, super douche customers... And crazy expensive.

The service was amazing, when I mentioned that I didn't feel safe going out front to smoke they upgraded me to a suite on 32nd floor Tower 1 with a balcony for free so I didn't have too!

For the prices they are asking the service levels need to improve. Ask for tower 1 but not super close to city scape (above 30th floor but below maybe 44). Renovations of lobby messing with services

complimentary bottled water @ front desk (Hh program). Starbucks inside $2 more, exit the hotel then turn right-two starbucks in 2 blocks. Parking $50/day (unlimited access 24hr). Warm small pool.

The bar is in the 45th floor great view, our check in was great, our renovating room was great, furniture was old, Nora, Elain from front desk where great, also David and Melvin Bartenders

No free wifi, breakfast or any amenities. Bed like a rock. Honestly I'd take my chances with the Hampton Inn for much cheaper. Don't turn left when leaving this hotel. Best restaurants to the right.

Even if you don't have a car, be sure to check out the parking garage entrance. A typically boring space has been made very cool, and it's worth the few extra minutes to see it.

Do not eat at the urban cafe unless you have a company's account if you walk out of the premises to your right ( Powell st ) you will found good places and half of the price enjoy your stay

Talk to Security Guards in white. They know some of the best kept secrets. Want to see the City Skyline? Talk to the guards. If there is nothing going on at the 46th Fl, the guards can give tour.

Not the best Hilton property amongst their portfolio for the price point. Get the high floors with the bay view. Also carry bottles of water since they do not keep them in your room.

Rooms are a little small. Bathrooms definitely small. Overall not a bad place to stay.... No good food or drink options on site. Registration line can get rather long as this is a popular place!

Prefer parking across the street at Mason O'Farrell Garage, it's cheaper. Long queues at the Starbucks in the lobby for breakfasts (you can use your breakfast tickets there).
  • F. FSeptember 6, 2012
For the cost of this place accomdations are just average for the standard room. Room is ok but bathroom is very small and not made for shorter people, the sink was level with my chest and Im 5'1"

Nice hotel but there's no fridge in the room unless you pay $15. Meanwhile, there's a fridge for the mini bar, stuffed with seriously overpriced snacks & drinks. Also no free wifi. Come on Hilton!

KJ Landis is one the besy servers we have ever had. She works at Urban Cafe. The food was unbelievable great. I recommend the scallops

Very bad! Expensive parking 47,00, old rooms, no security access to the hotel, anyone can in or out, bad staff, small safe inside the rooms, no fridge in the rooms except if you pay 15,00! An assault!

Good big modern rooms. Bad breakfast unless you're diamond. Hotel is too busy and the check in queue is awful. Stay in the financial district Hilton instead!

North two blocks and west two blocks you'll find a darling little cafe in the Tendernob called "Farm:Table" that has become one of my favorites in the city. Really good coffee there.

Rooms are decent and so is location but the breakfast buffet is steep ($29) plus 15% gratuity on ALL checks. Walk a block or two and save! Probably the case with all San Fran hotels though.

Cable car stop is a couple blocks away for anything outside walking distance. Ask doorman for a towncar to the airport: $40 + tip is least expensive & a nice way to ride.
  • Alazza A.
Its not safe at all, we parked our car in the hotel parking that we paid 65$ per day. Someone broke our car window and stole whatever left in the car and the security didn't do anything :\

I strongly do not reccomend this hotel. Wi-Fi is expensive, the staff are confuse. They sent a security agent in my room saying that my reservation is over, after that they apologized me.

The airport shuttle can be late, YOU CAN'T! The Pick-Up Time on the shuttle arrangement is the vendor's time. Be there (E side of Hilton) before the Start Time! This is for shuttles after 4:30pm.

Not majorly impressed with this hotel. Great location but rooms in tower 1 don't have a fridge and I was told as a HHonors member there would be free water in rooms! Where's my water!!!

This Hilton has eliminated the exec lounge for HHonors elite members and now for free breakfast you must wait in a huge Starbucks line in the lobby. Boo! Hilton Fin Dist better for biz travelers.

If AT&T is your cell carrier don't expect to make/receive calls very well here. I'm in tower 3 and only have bars in one square ft in my room. No coverage in conference area. Pretty much lobby only.

Don't take the Gold Card 'Complimentary Continental Breakfast' if you ACTUALLY want breakfast. Its a starbucks, apple and croissant, you line up with a thousand others and have to eat in the lobby!

Ask for a room in Tower 1 that is an even number on a high floor beginning with 70 ie. 1-3370, you will get an amazing view of downtown, the water, and AT&T Park!

Bloody awful hotel. Not enough plugs. My colleague and I got bitten in the room. Reception staff are frosty. Vending machine broke but still took money. Tired and dated.

The restaurant is a little pricy. The concierge directed me across the street to Old Siam which was inexpensive, delicious Thai food.
