was here for a conference, and really enjoyed the large rooms and the classic and relaxed atmosphere.
Rooms are immaculate.
Best and finest hotel in the Wilmington area. Worth the extra dollars.
Went for their afternoon tea. Good...but really too much. Obviously you want to get what you paid for, but at some point you're faced with too many cookies.
Excellent staff and certainly a grand building. Internet connectivity is unreliable at best, though, and hot water was a challenge. Fine for a pleasure trip, not ideal for business travelers.
There's an awesome bridal show happening right now! I'm assisting Randi L. Martin of Always Fabulous Events.
It's beautiful here.
We stayed her for a wedding and it was excellent. Tons of amenities and very gracious staff. I hope I have a reason to return to Wilmington just so I can stay here again!
Beautiful hotel. Nicest and most accommodating house keeping staff. laziest bellhops ever ... Always socializing and never working.
The only nice thing that wilmington has to offer!
Buffet and show really nice .
The shade is broken in the room. The cleaning staff bellowed up and down the hallways and the bathroom vent runs constantly. Elegance...Not!
Maybe I'm missing something. But, the exorbitant cost of the room does not guarantee great quality. My room smells damp, moldy and musty. The carpet is vacuumed, but needs to be replaced or shampooed.
Try the elevators.
The Hotel du Pont has hosted Prince Rainier of Monaco, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Prince Bertil of Sweden, President John F. Kennedy, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Henry Kissinger.
Love the Gold Ballroom
Love the Gold Ballroom.
Lovely rooms for weddings, conferences, etc. Bar is quiet and intimate. Lots of lawyers. Rooms are well appointed but a little old.
Very elegant hotel! Ideal for executive, meeting and corporate groups.
1018 is haunted
I second the macaroons!
Great for conferences: nice hotel & exercise rooms, limited bar.
Order the macaroons, enough said.
