The peel-and-eat shrimp are great, and the oysters are served simple, as they should be. Drinks are amazing and refreshing. -Alex Eusebio, Top Chef
LA was in desperate need of a casual seafood hotspot, and got one in this hip venue. Locals love it for the atmosphere and seriously good fare. But beware - the lobster rolls are said to be addictive!

Made with local vegetables and herbs, the Hungry Cat's Holy Mary (vodka, fresh juices from carrot, lemon and ginger, plus rosemary and parsley) is terrific with chef David Lentz's burgers and seafood.
the burger was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. the cocktails are the best the grey hound proper and luke's lemonade are my favorite
the crab cake benedict is one of the best things on earth!!!!!!!
Get the proper greyhound.
Tried lobster roll. Fries is overcooked and oily, the bun in lobster sandwich is dry and lobster is mixed with parsley which is a questionable pair. Strictly not recommended
Lucky Peach managing editor Rachel Khong: "The pug burger [Ed: yes, "pug," not "pub"] is a California-y tower of thin bun, fat patty, avocado, bacon, red onion, bleu cheese, and more."
Hungry Cat is our goto restaurant. It never disappoints.
Über boozy dessert: housemade butterscotch liqueur made w/ Sailor Jerry rum, butter, sugar.
Loved it. We ate outside on the patio, shaded and breezy. The mussels were great (with lamb bacon) and the oysters superb. Wait staff is excellent. I'm told the lobster pasta is fantastic.
Omg..the mussels are soooo friggin good...the pug Burger. The albacore special was insane.always a great experience here

The meal was fabulous and Patrick's service even better!
Hungry Cat is a wonderfully convivial atmosphere with great service. The cocktails are very good and the grouper dish is excellent! A modern and dimly lit setting providing a perfect mise en scene.
Ask the bartender for a wickle piskey.. ;)
Try the cold corn chowder soup, the burger, king crab leg, and everything else. Cheese plate is very fresh and served with honey comb.
The peel and eat shrimp are my favorite thing from the raw bar. Highly recommend the mussels as well. Chocolate bread pudding is the dessert to go for.
Wonderful fish and raw bar
Oysters! Why have 6 when you can have 12!
Don't miss the bread pudding! It has a layer of dark chocolate at the base.
You'll love the grilled octopus w/ pea tendrils.
Just don't order the cat. Everything else is delicious!
I like the ambiance, food a little salty, need better ventilation inside. Service was good tho!
Great place! Highly recommend the skate.
Crab cake Benedict and squash soup with stuffed squid are sooooo good. You won't be disappointed.
Overpriced, weak drinks, and poor service. Won't be back.
