People tend to check in during these times:
Eat the Shao-Long Bao (meat and soup dumplings) and Spicy Wontons, then slap yourself a high-five for making such an amazing decision.
Go to HuTong, have the Xiao Long Bao. Best in Melbourne!
Arguably the best dumplings in Melbourne
The wontons in chili sauce and the soup dumplings are awesome!
Shao-long Bao, spicy wontons + dry chicken in hot chilli = Szechuan heaven
ask for spicy wanton
The best dumplings in town!
So tasty! Nom nom nom
Try the Xiao Long Bao and spot it on Foodspotting!
The food is great, service super fast!Xiao Long Bao are awesome!! Only bad thing - the chairs. Uncomfortable as hell!! I guess it helps turn the tables over quickly.
Just order the Xiao Long Baos. Don't bother with anything else... .
The xiao long bao easily rival Taiwan's Din Tai Fung; spring onion pancake, spicy wantons and the Szechuan tofu are great additions. The sauce in the latter calls for rice - too good not to finish!
Try the.... dumplings!
Xiao long Bao are decent - still slightly on the doughy side (major problem with Chinese food in Australia), try the spring onion pancake as an add-on. Good service
Best soup dumplings!
Disappointing. Noisy, humourless staff and food that doesn't always resemble the menu.
Lovely decor upstairs. But very noisy, staff are rude, and entrees did not come out at the same time like we asked. Also, "salt and pepper squid" does not equal "battered squid". Just no.
Shao long bao is amazing
LOVE!!! Amazing duck, shao long bao dumplings and wontons! Delicious!
Flavorful, succulent, deliciousness. This is dumpling heaven. Here culinary bliss is wrapped in a thin noodly blanket filled with a symphony of pallet pleasing goodness. A cant miss dining experience
Possibly the best dumpling I have ever had. Move over din tai fung. Here comes the real deal. And it's much better value as well. Don't even look at the menu. Order the first two dishes.
the dumplings, oh the dumplings. it's hard to go past the shao-long bao and the spicy wonton. be prepared to wait for a table.
Spicy wontons pack a punch. Try the pork dumplings - dough is full and filling is tender. Spinach dumplings are great too.
Dumplings... lots of dumplings.
LOVE This place. Best dumplings in Melbourne, book in advance!
The chilli wontons are unbelievably good.
Spinach dumplings are the shiznit.
Xiaolongbao and spicy wonton are the winners here
Long live Xiao Long Bao! Must try the tofu dish as well (forgot the name).
Xia Long Bao is the best! Book in advance.
Spectacular dumplings, service not so much.
Don't be put off if ground floor looks full as there are an extra two levels above. Kids are welcome and high chairs provided.
Cash only unless you are spending over $30
Small place, only a handful of tables — expect a wait for lunch!
Must try siao-loong pao :)
The fried dumplings are really nice.
Best Shanghai dumplings in Melb CBD
Soup dumplings great. Skip the pan fried pork dumplings, they are not worth it
Bit disappointed if this is rly the best dumplings in Melbourne. It's not bad...but certainly not the best...not even close.
Great specialty dumplings, made right under your nose. Personal favorite: Shan Long Bao
Arrive before 530 on a Fri or Sat (or make reservations about a week in advance)
Concur with all tips including 'xiao long bao' & 'chilli wontons'. If you forget to book, head to sister restaurant, China Red and order these delights on touchscreen.
That's some tasty dumpling.
Great food. Laksa Chicken Fillet just beautiful. Reasonably priced. Upstairs seating much better than downstairs. Will definitely be back.
Actually someone's tip about the shao long bao being frozen is wrong. Just took this pic of them making it fresh!
You must eat the spinach dumplings! The staff were great, too - fast and helpful service, even on a busy busy night.
Incredibly overrated and over priced. Never coming back again. Avoid this place like a plague!
