Best sushi in town. Check out the Ni Bar, they are all the best! #nibar #ichi
Nothing to write home about... Fish was fresh but tiny, and ponzu on everything. :/
Best sushi hands down! Try the sea bream.
Omakase Service ...you can't go wrong
Omikase was a revelation.
Amazing. Check the specials and go for the nigiri, each is slightly brushed or marinated.
It's not a traditional sushi place, I appreciate the twists on some dishes, but some just didn't work for me. the place is overrated.
Omakase is amazing! Best sushi ever! So fresh , so tasty!
Fish was fine but not the mind blowing experience that other reviewers wrote about. Had the maguro, shiro maguro, spicy tuna roll, tuna tatakke and UNi and they were all decent just not what I craved
Chris Chris Chris - sit at the bar and ask for Chris!
Get the wagyu sushi. Everything is excellent, including the rolls. I hate California rolls everywhere else, but this one was so delicious.
Delicious fresh fish prepared beautifully, but with sub par table service, this place isn't worth it
Try the Cold Somen Noodles - With Shiso Pesto and Foodspotter. Beautiful!
The Amberjack & Salmon Roe is amazing!

The shishito peppers are phenomenal
Omakase is on 7x7's Big Eat 2013.
Although San Francisco isn't a sushi town, per se, even the snobbiest raw fish fans adore Ichi, serving inventive, pristine sashimi, specialty rolls and more. [Eater 38 Member]
7x7 says go for the Omakase
Best service of any place I've been in recent memory.
Umi Masu Kawa is unreal. Knowledgable service, and well worth the longer wait time for the sushi. Get as many specials as you can.
Sit at the bar and let Timmy take care of you. Always the best!
Seriously outstanding sushi... we just asked the waitress to bring us her recommendations and the meal was incredible.
Love this place. You almost want to not tell anyone for it is such a groovy little spot with the best sushi in town.
Best for tables of two. Nearly impossible for any larger groups.
the best stuff isn't on the menu - ask Tim what else he has.
Sit at the bar, the chefs are awesome.
Order the Tamago. You will love Tim's eggs.
For a good time buy Tim and crew an Underburg.
Try the Beef Tataki
Try the Seared Pork
The spicy tuna roll is the best I have had in the city! Small and intimate Ichi is hip without being pretentious.
Oh man. Sit at the counter if you can-- Tim will hook you up with some off-menu fresh catch if you only ask! Also, definitely try the yellowtail collar. Yum!
