Since Ike's showed up on Man v. Food, it's been a challenge to get in and out of this place quickly (pro tip: call your order in ahead). Try the famed Kryptonite sandwich but bring a friend to help. Read more

The long lines are worth the wait. Not all sandwiches are on the board. Look online at the menu. WiFi was available so you look at the menu while you wait if you want. Order ahead faster pick up.

    Stephanie Livingston · August 2, 2015
  • Natalie M.

Come hungry and leave w/ your mind blown. The secret sauce is a must. Use the app to order ahead & skip the line! Do not get the mozzarella sticks. They get soggy fast & turn to mush in your sandwich

Weekend ritual: order a sandwich from Ike's and take it to Dolores Park. Avoid the hour long weekend line by downloading their Android/iOS app and ordering an hour in advance:

Best sandwiches ever!!! Be sure to try the Kryptonite its amazing, and is big enough to share with someone, and also the menu its only 1/10 of what they have, you can ask for recommendations

    Jesus Dominguez · August 24, 2013
  • Lindsay R.

Greatest sandwich you will ever eat in your life. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Be cool with waiting a bit and taking your food somewhere else to eat it, though. Worth it!

    Lindsay Rose · February 23, 2015
  • Almudena B.

Amazing sandwiches, fresh ingredients, and the nicest service. If you are in the Mission, it's a must. Check the Mayoose's CA-BLT out!

    Almudena Bernardos · October 4, 2014
  • Elizabeth B.

Good sandwiches, BLT had great dressing. But portions are huge, which makes it difficult to eat... nice to go during the week, but I wouldn't wait 1h in line on the week end...

    Elizabeth Barelli · July 25, 2013

The Menage a Trois: Chicken with three cheeses and three sauces. Add pickles and dirty sauce (and nothing else) for the perfect balance of incredible flavors. Then nap for an hour.

If you're at least 15 minutes out/away call your order in, and always ask for extra honey on sandwiches with honey (not that they don't put enought, but extra honey is deelish.

    James Guigayoma · July 17, 2012
  • Bourbon🍸Explorer

This place is decent but don't believe the hype. Loading a sandwich w/5 different main fillings doesn't make it creative. It makes it an over priced mess. There are better sandwiches elsewhere.

    Bourbon🍸Explorer · August 24, 2014

Find delicious gluten-free sandwiches made on Mariposa Baking's rustic gluten-free baguette and served at Ike's SF, SF State, Oakland Uptown & Cupertino locations!

Get the "Just Friends" with cucumbers, so amazing - Or the Damon Bruce (throw a little avocado on their for tasty) The service here is always 5 star. awesome people.

Got the Menage a Trois. You know those annoying commercials where the model takes a bite of something and their eyes get all big because it's that good? My face did that. I felt it happening. So good.

    Danielle Howell · October 22, 2015
  • Aly O.

Hot Mama Huda is my fav - but check the website for the full menu. You won't find the full listing in the store... It's over 100 long!

    Aly Orady · January 6, 2015
  • Matthew S.

They stopped taking credit card! Really annoying as my wife and I hardly ever carry cash. The app they use for credit, Kash, is easy to setup, though.

    Matthew Smith · August 8, 2015

Try one of the many terrific vegetarian or vegan options such as The Pilgrim -- vegan turkey, cranberry sauce, havarti (or soy cheese), and sriracha.

    Genevieve Rice · June 26, 2011
  • Ben D.

Gluten free bread from Mariposa, menu online specifies other GF ingredients. And they ask at the checkout whether it's a preference or Celiac. 👌

    Ben Drucker · October 10, 2015
  • Christine R.

The secret is in the sauce. Bitterly, this place creates better sandwiches than I could ever put together myself. The CA-BLT is the best.

    Christine Røde · April 3
  • Jenny A.

Nothing special about these sandwiches, but I appreciate that they have Halal meat options + large portions for the price. The voodoo chips are my favorite!

    Jenny A. · August 24, 2013

Check out the giant "secret" menu online. Also is not cash only but they offer an incentive (tiny discount) if you do pay in cash

Hungry? There are so many choices and they are so filling! Get the iPhone application if you have one to order in advance and speed up delivery of your tasty sandwich.

Christina & Megan are the coolest ! Very helpful and quick even with the preparation of the biggest munching sandwich on the menu - the Kryptonite

The Lincecum sandwich is SO GOOD! And their Leninade soda is wonderful. Their potato chips are just ridiculously tasty. What a great place!

    Christine Saddul · October 14, 2012

Ridiculously crowded; anticipate a VERY long wait. Call/order ahead. Sandwiches are OK. The "hot" sandwiches we received were cold when I went. ):

Past home to "Joseph Schmidt's." A Holocaust survivor who made chocolate sculptures, Schmidt sold his specialty chocolate shop after Hershey's purchased his brand for over 30 million dollars!

Sandwiches are generally extraordinary and come with chips. Can get very busy during lunch periods. Dutch crunch is very good bread

    Tom Coates · March 26, 2013
  • Kevin R.

The best turkey I've had between two pieces of bread or even outside of that. Dutch crunch is the bread you should be getting

    Kevin Ripper · April 8, 2015

"[Name Of Girl I'm Dating]" aka "Bella" has been taken off the menu, but it's still available! Halal chicken, avocado, pepper jack, honey mustard. And get it on your birthday, for free!

    Warren Lain · March 8
  • Justin W.

Good sandwiches, but they're all pretty sloppy and not a good choice for packing for a hike. Head over to Dinosaurs for something cheaper.

    Justin Wyne · November 10, 2014

The lines are long but the sandwiches are good. Anything with their hand-pulled roasted chicken is great. Avoid the flavored sodas.

    Serious Eats · October 16, 2013
  • Keith S.

Amazing customer service. I was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer and the cashier had the manager custom make a sandwich for me. God bless!

    Keith Sims · March 6, 2013
  • Antonio

Hype. This place makes glorified subway sandwiches. The only difference was the Dutch Crunch bread, which actually wasn't bad. 5 out of 10.

    Antonio · September 4, 2015

I love the Paul Rubens. Everything here is great except the wait. Go at off hours. Be prepared to stand in a cue.

Delicious sandwiches, though very heavy and messy. Check out Dinosaurs down the street if you want something lighter.

Spiffy Tiffy (chicken, avocado, mushrooms, pesto) is my favorite pick up and go to Dolores Park sandwich.
