Ask to be seated at the wine cellar downstairs for an intimatedinner. Octopus/rabbit sausage/spaghetti with a sea urchin base/pollo is a must try. Delizioso
Rarely do I leave a restaurant completely satisfied. Tonight was one of those few times. We shared the kale salad, burrata, risotto, and pork sausage. Also, the panacotta and apple tart for dessert.
Delicious Italian food (even the bread+oil+salt was excellent)! Decor is so fantastically homey & farmhousey. p.s. lunch there is a good way to beat the crowds. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
Love this place. Delicious food and gorgeous space. Downside: seating is awkward - lots of communal tables and tables by doors leading to kitchen etc. Staff can be iffy/unhelpful.
the chocolate sorbet is the simplest and richest dessert on the menu, made with incredibly high quality dark chocolate. you can (and should) also get it to-go at alimentari
This food is amazing and so fresh! Ask for a wine paring, especially if you want to try it all! The sommelier recommended a nice wine that paired pretty elegantly with a wide variety of foods.
Outstanding. Pork blade was delicious. Don't feel you need to pay a lot for wine - even the cheaper bottles are excellent. Take somewhere there that you like. Will make an impression.
Ceviche is cured in blood orange here; definitely a must-try! Hanger steak is a little underdone but nonetheless highly palatable. Chocolate cake was somewhat too sweet.
Dev takes Priya to Noho neighborhood Italian stand-by Il Buco. She doesn’t want to share pastas with him— “I don’t really love splitting; I’d rather just order for myself if that’s okay.”. [Episode 5] Read more
My favourite dress-up Italian in the city. A varied menu with something for every palate - warm comfortable place that you can really relax and enjoy scrumptious italian cuisine and a great wine list.
Dunk the warm country bread in Umbrian olive oils produced exclusively for Il Buco. You’ll have no trouble finding a wine to match your meal; Il Buco’s list is one of the city’s best. -TimeOut
Try the Spit-Roasted Short Ribs castelvetrano olives, celery, walnuts and horseradish - Doubly amazing. Enough for four people to share easily without too much fighting.
An amazing Italian grocery store in the front, a romantic trattoria in the back – the porchetta a la Romana and octopus carpaccio are outstanding. For more, follow us on 4sq or at www.renhotels.com. Read more
terrific meal! i highly recommend dinner downstairs in the wine cellar. the kale salad in awesome, along with the pork chop. and if you feel like splurging, definitely get the truffle pasta
Lit by lamps mostly made of farming tools, this is for the foodie in you. Ask your server about the red wines- they've got an impressive selection but don't skip out on the Kumquat Rickey either way.
Formerly an antique shop, this charming enoteca beckons with the warmth of an Italian grandmother and fires romance. Book early and they’ll celebrate Tiffany couples with a proseccotoast.
Il Buco’s homemade pasta was perfectly complimented by their fine wine list. Don’t hesitate to purchase the nutty green olive oil and take home, it’s worth it.
Food is insane good. Som guy was terrific, staff had to deal with an asshole group who disturbed the entire restaurant on 9-12-15. They made them leave and took care of everyone.
I live a block away. I've been here 120 times, they still ask me where I'm from and if I've ever been here before. The food is good but turnaround of staff is high. Who's torturing these people!
No wireless signal in the downstairs area! Tough if you are expecting emails. But, delicious food and wine. If I wasn't working, would have been lovely!
I don’t like when comfort food gets too fussy. Nothing overly fancy here. The dishes are simple and fresh, just as they should be. And the rustic décor is so cozy. -Nina Garcia, Fashion Director
The Velveta tempranillo by the glass us absolutely incredible. Unfiltered, buttery and smells of a nice port. Enjoy this glass and you'll not forget it.
Described as “last meal”-worthy, it’s the perfect place to take your confessor to show your appreciation for his dexterity with a cheese cutter. Quoted from Zagat.
