So much good here -- hand made ice cream and great chia tea at Cow-a-Bunga -- hand made pretzels and excellent vegan soups at Pretzels & More -- Farmers Market every Friday -- very cool.

Great fish and chips. The Tin Fish Cafe is a bit pricy but decent food. Can't beat the view from the pier.

This place is bursting at the seams with local flavor. Just a small little beach town mostly overlooked by tourists. Once we saw a woman with a big snake around her neck. Not the Coronado crowd here.

Be careful with AT&T wireless service: phones are handed off to Mexico's Telcel all the time on the pier.

Head down towards the south end of the beach for less people...or stay next to the pier for better people watching. Oh and farmers market Friday afternoons.
