If you are in the international terminal and are boarding a flight in a gate number lower than 15, be prepared to walk 5-20 minutes. Each gate is spaced so far apart.

This airport doesn't broadcast announcements for flight updates. So you have to pay close attention to announcements at your gate. The staff may lie about the status, but that's your only option.

Modern and clean, but the signs are not always clear. Some of the staff are courteous because they know the check-in procedure is confusing, while others could care less. So much for hospitality.

Use the metro from New Delhi railway station to reach the airport via public transport. Do give yourself 2-3 hours for int'l flights. The shops are great to pass time.

just give yourself enough time as there is always a state of pandemonium for no good reason everywhere(please fix the air conditioning). Lounges can be accessed via escalators in front of duty free.

Super frustrating. You can't get into the airport without a printed eticket! The ladies' security scan queue takes ages. Make sure you keep your boarding card with you as they have to stamp it

If you want a private room to sleep, book ahead! They fill up fast and that nice lady on the plane with you could end up being the jerk that gets the last room.

One of the largest Indian airport!! Public should know maintenance of airport is our own duty too!! You can easily spot airport staff doing nonsense!!!

PeoTip: You have to put one of these tags on your hand luggage to be stamped by security as they won't let your bag on the flight in India without it, even if you're carrying on.

This place is a paragon of efficiency much to the contrast of the state of travel in India more broadly. Check out some of the sculpture work in the terminals like this sun salutation sequence.

You might miss it but the travelators are hidden to the left of the terminal walkways. Also, the carpet is way more comfortable to sit on than the chairs :)

The terminal has plenty of food and shops to help you pass the time before departure. The sky team lounge is minimal but clean and comfortable, with very courteous staff.

Print out your flight details! If you don't have them printed (no, smartphone does not count) security might not allow you in and you have to go to a special office where you can print for a fee.

One of the largest and best managed airports of the country but despite that the lounges are always full at peak hours so be sure to get there on time for your flight!!

Arrival here feels like you get out of a time machine and are back in the 1960s. C'mon, India, it's your capital's international airport. Upkeep to keep face is a no-brainer. First impressions matter.

You can now buy alcohol at T3. But if you ask them for, let's say, Red Label or regular Black Dog or Chivas Regal or Absolut the answer will be 'no'.

Be sure to have a printed copy of your e-ticket or boarding pass before arriving at the airport. I always forget it's required for entry to the terminal. Luckily, the porter sorted it all out for me.

T3 international is fairly compact but has comfy chairs, sockets, decent coffee, but sucky 45mins of free wifi—activation by SMS. Not hard to while away a longish layover. There's also sleep pods.

Well maintained, but watch out for long queues at immigration and security checks. If you start from or plan a transit here, make sure to have at least 1.5 hours in hand. Free wifi is good speed.

The first bribe you will pay on setting foot in India is at the IGI Airport Customs to officials who deserve a cut of your hard worked money so their afternoon can have the luxury of chewing tobacco.

Prepaid Cabs are the way to go. You pay, get your receipt, and go right to the station where your car is waiting. Don't listen to any of the hustlers outside. Make a beeline with your receipt in hand

Jet airways does not have a separate counter for online checked in passengers on international flights. However if you request they can let you pass on ahead to an empty counter.

In T3 for the international departures, if you are departing out of gate 14 give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes to walk there as its the last gate and long walk.
