You are standing in a neighborhood packed with some of the best bars and restaurants in the entire city. Skip the S&S; try East Coast Grill, Tupelo, Oleana, Punjabi Dhaba, or Trina's Starlite Lounge
Coffee at 1369, booze at trinas, beer at Bukowski and Druid, food at city girl or east coast or all star. I love it.
If you are looking for any kind of spices and are even near the square, do yourself a favor and stop in at Christina's Spices. Their selection is amazing!
Food at Punjabi Dhaba or Oleana !!! icecream at Christina's n salsa class at ryles !!! one of the best square
Go for a soak at Inman Oasis! Sunday brunch it up at Tupelo, Clover recently opened, venture just outside Inman for a quick walk to Petsi Pies.
Rosie's has excellent coffee (as does 1369) and pastries, but is a bit overpriced.
Updated for 2013: Mexican brunch at Ole, Awesome fish and fire-bones at East Coast Grill. hipster snacks at Clover, The Druid for a Guinness and then nothing like a good hot-tub soak @inmanoasis
Not even close to a NYC deli /they charge for pickles & have no Dr Brown soda more like a diner
Gotta hit The Starlight for a "Rocking Chair" (Black-tea infused bourbon, cognac, and ginger).
