Beautiful hotel. I hope the pool never changes. A Chicago landmark
pool is pretty amazing and spooky at the same time. original pool from the late 20's, love the original pool tiling.
Cool Babylonian architecture. Starbucks shop less crowded than others nearby. Eno wine bar. Striking pool.
$17.95/day for 1g wifi is ridiculous. To slap you again after "accepting" the wifi charge, the login page immediately takes you to their Facebook page to "like" the hotel. Seriously?
An engineering feat when the above-ground pool was built in 1929, the pool has since had many famous visitors, including Olympic gold medalist Johnny Weissmuller.
The gorgeous mosaic pool is a must-swim feature.
no free Wi-Fi. that is unbelievable!
This landmark hotel allows guests to bring one dog, no size limit. There is a $100 security deposit required, $50 of which is used as a nonrefundable pet service fee.
I am the new mayor! Hope everyone has a happy stay at my hotel :)
That pool is gorgeous
Definitely stay in the historic tower side of the hotel!
The ICChicago's bar is pretty good, for a hotel bar.
The pool is not the same as the "famous pool from that one old movie!" I was admiring and asked the hotel manager who let me down nicely: "Yeah, everyone thinks that, but this pool wasn't in it."
They sure do treat you like royalty here!!! Upgraded to a suite AND sent up a special gift for my daughter for her bday. What a treat!
Desk staff nasty when they were told of a reservation screw up. And $17.95 for 1Mbps wi-fi. Seriously? With premium room prices they charge for Internet? Get real!!!!
Try ENO next door for Vino paired with great cheeses and chocolates. We make it a point to go every time we're in town
Bar staff awesome: discrete, know their beers, offer topups perfectly on time.
Take the self guided tour and get a free water bottle
A wonderful place for a weekend away from home. The pool is famous and the food from room service is superior.
The Trump across the street is 10 million times better in terms of service and amenities.
Excessive prices, small rooms, and the pool was under construction during our stay. Not overly impressed by anything except the arcitecture.
Pool closed as you can read but still no clue why their website didn't offer that information.
Very nice hotel but it would have been nice if they had told us the pool was closed! Said the city won't let them put that on their website but I came here FOR the pool! Very unhappy!!!
The pool is closed :'(
The quickest Starbucks ever! You would think long lines and waiting forever for a coffee especially on Michigan Ave, but no not this one. Super effecient!
Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate! soooo gooood!
Absolutely beautiful. View as many floors as you can!
Horrible service!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Made reservation to celebrate 2 year anniversary. Was given double beds instead if a king. They would do anything. They offered 2 free Starbucks drinks. Disappointing.
Landed in a blizzard, spent 2 hrs on runway at O'hare. 10 min after stepping off plane was traveling to hotel with professional driver from Echo Limousine, $60 for 3 people seems very reasonable!
Definitely a great hotel to stay if you are staying right on Michigan Ave and want to shop there since all the stores are walking distance! 5 stars
Will not be staying here again. 18$ for Internet, $60 to send and receive one fax, their iron destroyed my pants and they refused to help in any way. Dish TV service was unreliable. Shameful. F.
When walking by beware: live feed to lobby screen behind front desk.
When in Chicago, I would never stay anywhere else. Wifi is expensive, but free at Starbucks and MJ's steakhouse. The pool is amazing. Even if you don't swim, go check it out. Excellent location!
Very cozy and close to any place you wanna visit
In the pool, paddle your feet like crazy, but try to stay still and calm. Then say "I'm like a duck calm on top but my legs are going crazy! !"
This amazing hotel offers a free audio walking tour. Stop at the concierge desk and leave an ID and credit card to take the tour. Absolutely beautiful!
Great pool, friendly staff, great location! Our first night the concierge said to look around for a spot to eat our take-out pizza and we found a great spot just passed Michael Jordan's.
Can't believe that wifi isn't included for the price we pay to stay here! No worries though, I can go downstairs and get WiFi at Starbucks for free....
For what I heard was a fancy hotel Has been a complete let down. Rooms small. Wallpaper is falling off. The carpets been patched together. Bathroom is like a public stall. I'm not coming back.
Must check out the beautiful pool.
InterContinental Conference Meeting Executive Roundtables
Great location. Stayed in the historic tower - king bed room is pretty big for a downtown hotel. Didn't care that the pool was closed.
If you're planning on swimming, call ahead to make sure the pool is open. Otherwise you have to haul the family across the street to swim.
Very cool place! We are having a week long event in late June and look forward to it. Maybe we will have Chicago deep dish pizza!
