As splendid as when it opened in 1926, Mark Hopkins is one of the city's finest historic San Francisco luxury hotels. It's ideally located at the crossing of three cable car lines, just minutes from Union Square. Each suite is furnished in a unique, stately style.
Extraordinary hotel, definitely one of the best options in SF, also, the location is incredible, as well the view
Nice rooms, great location, very good food
Great architecture, nice staff but the fat duty manager is very aggressive & send you indirect message that you're not welcome, thou I'm Spire Elite Member which is the highest category.
Enjoy a late lunch if you are starving in a quiet atmosphere with delicious food
Used to be top notch but if you're age 20-35 find a different place that's not quite so stuffy and has better ammenities
Nice hotel, but the in-room wifi is offensively overpriced and underperforming at $15/day.
nightmare! there is a big piece of human nail on my bed and holes in sheets and pillows! no complimentary water even for platinum. no slippers in room. I cannot believe it's an IHG brand!
Rooms and the view from the top are great!
Great hotel - on my was to Sacramento tonight!
I love staying here when I'm in SF. The prices are reasonable and the views are spectacular. The trolley stops right in front of the entrance too!
Great hotel. Just remember that after a long day of sightseeing that it is uphill in any direction. I recommend the cable car to get back to your room.
Pro tip: sign up for the free IHG rewards club and in-room WiFi is free. You can do it in 30 seconds from your phone.
Fabulous hotel - fantastic staff. Very friendly and helpful. Free internet for Platinum Priority Club members. Can't wait to return!
If you've been to nice restaurants with views in other major cities, Top of the Mark is both underwhelming in food and atmosphere
If you're traveling w/ small kids ask for Room 226. Nice view and the corner room is HUGE compared to many of the others in the hotel. Alot of closet space as well.
Great experience! If you can ask for the direct from the elevator room, and facing the Bay, it is exquisite. It is on "Top of the Hill", so you have an awesome view. The morning brunch can't be beat!
Wifi is not free to guests & if you leave your "do not disturb sign" on expect daily knocks on your door by security. Annoying!!
Bed is comfy, no free wi-fi, views are great & bring a sweater. It gets chilly in the evening up here. Beautiful hotel.
Gorgeous rooms, wonderful staff and an incredible view of the city. Check in on Foursquare and you might get a pleasant surprise.
Have a breakfast and watch the fog disappearing on top of the marks
QUITE AN EXERCISE TO WALK UP HERE from Union Square with baggages.
If you plan to visit the Top of the Mark restaurant/bar to take pictures, think again. You MUST be seated and cannot walk around and enjoy the view. What a dumb establishment.
SF's Finest to the rescue.
Amazing views, worst service of all time.
Great for company events! Hosted our global sales meeting and was able to reserve the entire Mezzanine floor. Staff was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to our needs.
Special was supposed to be $9 but got charged $10
You can't go wrong with this place -- upgraded to a suite without asking !
Top of the Mark offer one of the best 360 degree views of san fran. Try the Lychee martini
join the swing dancing upstairs! so classic.
The gym here is tiny and has no weight or barbell. If you want to get a decent workout, go to the newly renovated Chinatown YMCA which offers weekly passes for just $30.
Needs a re-freshing.
Gr8 hotel and bar but slow/expensive Internet!
Make sure to check out the Top of the Mark - the views are amazing!
There's an excellent health and fitness centre here, so you can stay in shape even of you're away from home.
Ask for a corner room. The views are fantastic.
Below I ment..Park not mark ..sorry
If u want to mark in the hotel its $51+ tax..instead oark block away on taylor between california n sacramento for $27
Featured in 2 movies, Bullitt where the witness is spotted in the lobby; and Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo
Service is excellent. A lovely historical landmark. Wifi $15/day and not good from my room at least. No HDTV. Great room service menu & food but pricier than others.
Really dig the California suite!
great hotel... love the Top of the Mark...
Food is decent
Stay at the Omni, much nicer.
stay here every time we're in the city! excellent service and an amazing location. in my opinion, worth the price
staff should be more professional - need training - eapecially valet & bell boys - stay at the THE STANFORD COURT next door & get treated like a guest. I recommend a drink from Rene at the lobby bar
For 250 bucks a night, you get to pay for your own internet, small room, small bathroom, but great views.
Great place! Perfect location
