Valerie Topete originally moved to New York City in order to pursue a career in photography, but found her passion in bike messaging.
Spencer Niles is happily married and lives in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Is now closed pending a move downtown. The School, across on 6th is open with a small gallery downstairs for free.
As a photographer this is always a stop when I'm in NYC. The work is always amazing and I always walk Away inspired in my own work to do better.
Best place to study photography in NYC.
It's not a museum, but instead an art gallery full of photojournalistic exhibitions of photographers around the world. Would go again!
You can't take pictures of the pictures... but you can take pictures of the captions, look the photos up on Google, and take pictures of your screen.
The Caio Reisewitz exhibition is really well curated. Well worth a visit.
If you like pretentious photography then this is the place for you. What's even more annoying than the majority of uninspiring photography is the ridiculous texts that describe the work.

Nul. Art cliché/stéréotypée.
Too far from being an "international" center of photography. Small collection. Simply disappointed. It's just a tiny gallery not even a museum.
Beautiful place, the Zoe Strauss exhibit is powerful

Free admission for Bloomberg employees and up to 3 accompanying guests.
photog inspo-central in very chic setting.
Not a big space, but the exhibits are really well curated. A wonderful place to go for a photog pick-me-up or a revive.
expensive way to go to the rest room
The cafe downstairs offers a selection of photobooks, mostly self-published, to peruse at leisure.
Nice place but not worth 14$ ! Come on Friday 5-8pm & pay as u want.
As you enter the museum, enlarged photographs hang in the windows, distinguishing the building from its plain office-building neighbors. If photography is your genre of choice, this place has it all.
Love Gideon Mendel's work about floods
The Gideon Mendel exhibit is very touching.
Piece of crap!!
Vishniac exhibition, wow, awesome!

I really like this place. I highly recommend it. Great pictures, cool store(where they sell Lomography cameras) and if you have a student ID you get in for 10 dollars.
This place may be one of my fav spots in NYC. They have great exhibits! The book store has great stuff and you can order anything on-line you see in there.
The Weegee exhibition is really cool!
If you want to see this museum for cheap, visit every Friday from 5 PM - 8 PM and donate what you can for admission.

Elliott Erwitt. Genius.
Very hypocritical that im told I can't take photographs while looking at a photo of someone taking a photo of people watching a photo in a museum. The irony of this moment was golden.
Credentialed press get in for free.
Great exhibition about civil right law in US history. God bless photography!
