At the Intrepid Museum, visitors can experience a legendary aircraft carrier, the first space shuttle, the world’s fastest jets and a guided missile submarine.
They have an overnight activity called "operation slumber" great fun for kids, families and groups!
Good if you like planes. The space section is small.
Pay extra for the Enterprise. It's a great exhibit.
It's beautiful and entertaining! I loved the Space Shuttle Pavillon.
Nice place but you have to be here early to cover the full activities
The flight deck!
What a great museum! There is something for everyone here. You probably cannot see it all in one day. We let the kids lead the way based on their interests.
Don't miss the kamikaze show! It's in the middle of the lower level of the intrepid and is easy to miss. It plays every hour and is worth waiting around for!
Had a lot of fun, plenty of things to see, but the weather didn't help
11/10 would recommend. The Intrepid is the pinnacle of naval history. It fought in WW2; fought in Nam w/ McCain flying jets off of it; and was the command center during 9/11. Truly inspiring.
They have also the SR-71 the fastest titanium spy airplane ever!
Civil War era submarine, the very first Concord jet, vast collection of war items
Buy admission tickets on-line before going to the museum. The lines are long! (especially in summer.)
Fun location and great piece of history
The experts on deck take the experience to another level.
Amazing view and impressive "ship" ! Definitely can go just outside :p
Take the Concorde tour with Keith. He really knows his stuff.
Beautiful to run by at night. They show Top Gun every year!
Top sight! Book several hours to enjoy the carrier and aircraft, the submarine, the space shuttle, and an optional tour to the Concorde.
You should definitely buy the all inclusive ticket! You get to see : the enterprise airbus and the submarine from the inside!
All the avgeeks should get the concorde tour
We've announced activities for Fleet Week 2015, May 20-26, 2015!
I am glad I am not a sailor.
Great place to share modern US history with the kids!
Such a wonderful idea to reuse the ship. I will come back to check out the free movie events in the summer.

You must see the space shuttle Enterprise! :)
Space shuttle Enterprise is here! Do not miss!
Got a Groupon that included admission and a tour. We chose the WWII tour! Kevin used maps to illustrate a pretty complicated campaign, super effective and a wonderful experience!
Nice but the Space Shuttle exhibit a bit of a disappointment. Also you bump into these people giving private tours which believe you are supposed to leave when they start talking in front of a panel.
One of the best museums in New York, crawl all over a carrier including the bridge and planes, climb through a submarine, get up close to the Space Shuttle Enterprise, visit Concorde - amazing.
