Spectacular combination of food, wine and jazz
You come here for the Jazz, you come back because of the BBQ. Since they share kitchens with Blue Smoke this place is a delight. Try everything
Must reserves seats, the space is not big. The band was excellent!
Live jazz (Mingus Monday 7:30 set) plus stellar Blue Smoke BBQ? Damn good night and with good company too.
Best jazz bar in NYC
Salt and pepper ribs are the best. Strawberry salad with smoked goat cheese is also awesome
See amazing jazz music and eat amazing BBQ from Blue Smoke!
Arrive early for first dibs on seats and to give yourself enough time to order and eat before the show. Pass on the brisket, order the shrimp and grits with a side of spicy broccoli
Very good service
Very cozy and intimate place. The Mingus Big Band is out of this world
friendly staff :) and the atmosphere is so romantic. recommended for dates!
How can you go wrong with Jazz & BBQ? Great atmosphere and performances from the top jazz artists in the industry.
This is where you go to relax, listen to great musicians and eat delicious food. It has never failed my expectations, especially when it comes to the menu.
Dress warm - the AC is blasting.
Try the vanilla milkshake with a shot of espresso!
Eat ribs while you listen to jazz.
Great place to listen to live Jazz
Don't bother coming here unless you're a fan of uninspiring food and music. FYI "they observe a silence policy" alongside a 'plate of ribs'. A nonsensical contradiction.
Great service, good food (try the ribs) and great music!
Saraplar vasat otesiiiii!
Arrive early to get a good place - Chegue cedo pra pegar um bom lugar
Serving Blue Smoke BBQ.
Crispin original. Period (.)
Been a very long time since my last show here, back in '84, place hasn't lost it's flair. Doesn't hurt with acts like Gregory Porter.
Tim armacost is the best!
The best jazz in town
BBQ and jazz. Need I say more?
Incredible jazz. One of the best venues in NYC. Fantastic menu with an excellent selection of Bourbons.
Great BBQ and desserts from upstairs at Blue Smoke
Go early to get good table and eat before music. Ribs are amazing and bourbon ice cream w the apple dessert is godly and so is the bread pudding (i believe). Best service too!
Classic and without surprise jazz place, with restaurant Blue Smoke at the same adress
There's never an off night at the Jazz Standard. From top-notch musicians, to lesser-known groups, right down to the food and service, this sleek venue is a definite pick for a riveting evening out.
Try the Deviled Eggs - #perfect
I like the room, I like the food, I like the musicians, I like Mondays there a lot. The staff has a good vibe. The table seating is tight and communal(like). Ask to sit on the perimeter. Better views.
We've got a great January for you Jazz Standard fans - Sax legends Lou Donaldson 1/19-22 & David Sanchez 1/31-2/4! Give us a shout @AMIagency when you check in! We'll be there!
Our favorite venue for jazz - Don't miss Jose James recording a LIVE album on Sept. 30th with Taylor McFerrin - We'll be there!
Great food, fun == but you must go for the Jazz!
Live Jazz and BBQ: awesome night in the Big Apple.
My guy loves the corndog shrimp!
Barbecue upstars, and Jazz in the basement. Eat and listen
The Texas Salt and Pepper Ribs are the best I've ever had! The other 2 kinds they have are good but the Salt and Pepper ones are the best!
Applewood smoked organic chicken is the best chicken ever!
The pulled pork plate is yummy but skip the beans and get a side of collard greens instead. Much yummier.
Saw Jason Moran here on the 26th, very cool place, go to the early show and you can meet the musicians
Shrimp and grits is excellent
Jazz and a big 'ol plate of finger-lickin' ribs. An unexpected but delightful pair.
Don't listen to haters, the house- Blue Smoke Ale is awesome! :-D
